"Thank you [Member Name Removed], we appreciate you!"
"Project was not perfect and we have used this to better our internal processes however the project was nowhere near as bad as indicated. Client added many things on and made changes adding time to completion without any understanding that additional work will take longer. Client said she expected it to be a lot faster because that's how it works on HGTV. Client posted derogatory and offensive signage in her yard during construction which doesn't bode well for the morale of the workers and also caused a delay. This client does not honor her agreements nor pay her bills. After the construction we all met to debrief and make sure everything was to her satisfaction as well as make arrangements for final payment. We fulfilled our obligation and went above and beyond. Client then went against her word and wouldn't pay even though we all agreed to terms. After several weeks of chasing her I had to threaten legal action to get payment. She finally paid and is now bitter. I wish we would have set a better expectation or realized the customer's unreasonable HGTV expectations prior to doing work for her. Contractor beware."
"This review is being reviewed by Angie's List. We were never directly contracted for work with this client. We were hired by a contractor to provide material per their specifications. The contractor changed the specifications mid construction after they ordered material. New material was ordered at a discount for replacement to help this client out. We don't feel this review is fair or just and it should be removed."
"We are very sorry for this member’s experience. I have spoken with him directly to make sure he is happy with the final product. This project started off on the wrong foot…we actually ordered the correct product but the vendor sent us the wrong product. The vendor then had trouble sourcing the replacement which caused the delays. We should have communicated better with our client and we have used this internally as a learning tool/example so that we can improve our process. Our client is correct, we did squeeze all the workers in to complete the work because it was already behind schedule and we didn’t want to cause further delays by waiting to free our workers up. We definitely could have done a better job at communicating and will make this a point moving forward. We do feel this has influenced the other grading though. When I spoke to the client about the quality he was happy with that but the review reflects differently. Thank you to the member for feedback, we always value feedback as it makes us stronger and better for the future!"
