"After receiving an extremely high water bill I contacted a contractor that I knew to have him look into it. His analysis was that there was a leak in the main water line which is something he did not do. After doing some research regarding various companies that provide service in this area I chose Nu Flow Indy to investigate based on their expertise as shown on their website and prior customer reviews. Jason Long arrived to investigate and determined that the issue was in fact in the main water line. Jason explained exactly what the process would entail and gave me his personal cell number as point-of-contact. A quote was sent detailing the process and cost and I contacted Jason to proceed with the replacement. Though there were some unforeseen issues that were no fault of Jason or Nu Flow Indy Jason resolved the issues pushing through until the new main water line was installed, completing the install of the new main water line and hookup at 11:20PM on the 2nd day. Jason had a team come back to fill in the trench and a "dig site" leaving the area with as little impact as possible. I thank Jason, Adam, Brian, Rudy, Matt & Rico for their dedication/professionalism. Also I want to add that these gentlemen are Great people."

The main shut-off valve for a sprinkler system is simply called the shut-off valve. It’s one of several valves for a sprinkler system, and it controls the water supply to the sprinkler system’s water lines. This valve is different from the master valve, which can also shut off the water supply in case of an emergency but operates automatically.

It’s possible to convert a bathroom into a wet room, but it often requires extensive renovations. You’d likely need to remove the floors to install drainage and a new floor over that, remove drywall outside the shower area, and replace it with cement backer board covered in a waterproofing material. You’d also need to remove the existing shower, waterproof the walls, and install fixtures to create a more open, curbless shower space.

Hire a licensed plumber to install plumbing vents, including the main vent stack, even though it goes through the roof. If you’re concerned about leaks on your roof, call a roofer after the job is done to ensure everything looks functional. A roofer can also install a roof vent pipe cover to prevent debris buildup and clogs.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.

A couple of components work together to control your shower's water pressure. A water pressure regulator, located near your main water shut-off valve, will control the pressure as water enters your home. From there, your shower valve does the heavy lifting. Other factors that impact water pressure include the type of showerhead you install (rain showerheads tend to have lower water pressure than traditional wall-mounted showerheads) and whether the local building code requires a flow restrictor.
