"They showed up and did exactly what they were paid to do. One guy was late and seemed clueless and was messy. They fixed my plumbing and cleaned my septic tank out. They are definitely less prepared than other companies I've used but the pluming was fixed when they left.

Small jobs welcome

"Dirk called me immediatly to set up an appointment to have my faucet looked at. Craig the plummer came over on time and checked out the faucet and told me what was wrong with it. He called around for the part but couldn't find it. After he left I found the warranty and part number that I can order from the company. When I get the part Craig said he will come back and install it. He was very clean and thorough. I have recommended this company to my neighbor."

"He was very professional. I wasn't sure what was going on and when he came out and took look he was able to figure it out right away. He came out same day. Even called to say he could come out earlier than expected. He got it taken care of quickly and put my mind at rest. He was very helpful. I have a couple other projects with my sewer drain and will call him to do the work when I am ready."

"Both toilets in my house would not flush. Jim was able to come out today when I called. He called on follow up to advise running late from prior job but not his way. He assessed the situation and kept me apprised of what he needed to do to correct my problem. Very courteous and professional. In leaving he insisted on wiping up water from his equipment that dripped thru my house. The price was reasonable. This is the second time I turned to HomeAdvisor for a repair. I will be keeping this business card if should I need other work. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim to others."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Unlike regular cleanings, snaking your sewer line should be done as needed. There’s no reason to snake your sewer line if you don’t have any noticeable issues, like slow drainage or plugged drains. You can add it to your regular sewer cleaning checklist as a prevention method (on the same 18- to 22-month schedule), but it’s not always necessary.

Snaking a toilet is similar to clearing sinks and bathtubs, but there are unique circumstances where you’d have to drain, disassemble, and remove the toilet to fix the clog. For stubborn clogs in the toilet trap, a toilet auger—designed with a shorter cable and a protective plastic encasing—can navigate the tight bends and clear the clog without risking damage to the porcelain.

You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

Yes. Sewer cameras are invaluable tools that can help pros safely diagnose problems with your septic system. Without a camera to look into your system, septic issue diagnoses would be a combination of guessing and past experience. However, a camera can help confirm ideas that your pro may already have about what’s wrong.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.
