"Faith built was great. I had multiple quotes on a leaking window and everyone told us we needed brand new windows. Faith built told us they would be taking advantage of us if they installed new windows. We didn’t need it. We saved thousands and the work was done quick and thoroughly. We haven’t had a leak yet. I would recommend faith built to everyone to at least give them an opportunity to quote whatever job you need done. They will suggest what you need not what will make them most money and I think that is hard to find!"

"I had Everdry Waterproofing out to my house to look at my basement and the inspector was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained in great detail what was happening with our basement. It was a little pricey to have done but they offered very affordable payment plans. It is worth every penny!! We have not had any problems with our basement since we had the system installed."

"Actually I had a full crawlspace encapsulation. The job was done well and the work was finished ahead of schedule... The workers were professional and personable always willing to share information. Although not cheap I would use this company again."

"They contacted me quickly and showed up on time. Jason and Earl were polite, competent, and efficient. And I do not think you would find a better price. Highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future. They even came out on a Saturday, all the way to Terre Haute, when no one in my town would even answer the phone, so that I didnâ t have to go the whole weekend without water. I think I would give it 10 stars if I could."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

Yes, plumbers replace bathtub faucets, but they’ll charge labor costs to do so. A plumber can charge $50 to $100 or more per hour for labor plus the cost of the faucet. Labor may not break the bank for a simple job, but it could cost significantly more for complex jobs like installing a waterfall tub filler or freestanding bathtub faucet if either falls into your must-have bathroom remodel ideas.

The average cost to replace a toilet fill valve is around $100, and prices range from $50 up to $150, depending on your location, the experience of the plumber, and how accessible your toilet is. In most cases, a professional plumber can replace your fill valve in under an hour, although it might take longer if they also need to fix or replace other components at the same time.

To bleed air from the pipes, start by turning off the main water supply. Then, starting with the faucet that’s closest to the water valve, open each of your faucets halfway, making sure to open both hot and cold options if they’re separate. This allows the air to escape the pipes. Once all faucets are open, turn your water supply back on and let the water run for 10 to 15 minutes until the faucets stop sputtering.
