"Showed up on time and were very courteous and professional when speaking about the project. Snaked the main sewer drain, one toilet and replaced one toilet. When using a snake to unblock a toilet, they made quite a mess on the walls. Was never cleaned by them or told about it before they left. Found it after they finished the job. The toilet they installed runs after flushing. Have to constantly wiggle the handle after flushes."

"I had a serious, bathroom pipe leak which other plumbers estimated would take 2 men, a full day, & approximately $2000 to fix, with additional costs for structural, restoration repairs resulting from their efforts to get to the pipe. The Plumbing Gods decided to Intervene, & sent me Jacob! Jacob declared that he could fix my pipe by himself, charging by the job, not the hour, with minimal destruction to my home! I hired him & he successfully completed the job in just over 4 hrs , for $925, & my room looks intact. This will be my plumber for life! Jacob is SMART, honest, hard working, a perfectionist, & he truly cares about the concerns of his customers. He really is superior, in so many ways, to most of the other plumbers I have used. In an age where it's so hard to find good repair people in ANY area, Jacob is the real deal & I know others will be "plumb" crazy about him as much as I am!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

If you notice water coming out of the bottom of your tank or the flush handle, you obviously have a leaking tank. Water on the side of the tank can indicate cracks. Other signs include the toilet running and flushing without anyone touching the handle, needing to jiggle the handle to make the water stop after flushing, or needing to hold the handle down to empty the water tank.

Yes, a bathroom remodel is a worthwhile home improvement project that typically adds value to your home, offering a return on investment (ROI) between 60% and 70%. Potential buyers look closely at bathrooms and kitchens, as these are often the most expensive rooms to renovate. A modern, updated bathroom is more appealing and assures buyers that the plumbing, fixtures, and flooring have a long, useful life ahead. Beyond the financial return, a remodel can also greatly increase your day-to-day satisfaction by creating a more inviting, spa-like space. Even a basic refresh with new paint and accessories can make a significant difference.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common plumbing practice that can simplify installation and save space. When sharing a vent, it's important that the toilet is located downstream from all other fixtures. You will also need to ensure the vent pipe is large enough to handle the demands of all connected fixtures without compromising its effectiveness. Because requirements can vary, you should always check your local building and plumbing codes. Consulting a qualified plumber is recommended to ensure the vent is properly sized, installed, and adheres to all local regulations.

After flushing the toilet, you should have about half a tank full of water. While the exact amount of water you’ll have will vary, you want to make sure you have enough to cover the bottom of the bowl and enough to sit above the P-trap drain. While low water in your toilet bowl can indicate a problem, too much water can also be cause for concern.

A toilet flange secures your toilet in place to the floor, and connects your toilet to the drain pipe that carries its contents to the sewer. Obvious signs that your flange needs replacement include when it can’t keep up with these two functions. If your toilet rocks back and forth or you see leaks coming from the bottom of your toilet, it’s time for a replacement. Other signs that your toilet flange is broken or faulty may include loose tiles or soft flooring around the toilet, and sewage smells.
