DL Brown is fantastic. We've used them for all sorts of plumbing issues. They respond quickly to emergencies, do a great job--and if something isn't just right, they come back and fix it.  Their plumbers are friendly and professional--and never said thing 1 about my messy house, hahaha.  I would recommend them to anyone.

They did a great job and I don't feel they charged enough!  We had an estimate from another contractor and they did it for 1/10th of the other quote.  I asked to pay more and they refused.  They had even checked the sewer line prints at the county office before coming to make sure they knew what they were getting into - rare, in my experience.  Great people - quality job!

Purchased services of installing new unit, hauling-away of old unit and removing of salt from existing water softener from Sears. A service man from DL Brown came to find out there was a bit more salt than he expected and he refuted to do the work and complained his company to have signed such a contract with Sears. The DL Brown further lied to Sears by saying that the customer did want to remove 500 pound of salt from the old unit.
We have never poured more than 80 pound of salt into our existing water softer at one time because of its capacity.

Leak noted at 7 PM on 10/14, I called, and received call back within ten minutes. At my request, Brown suggested where I could purchase water heater, number to call at local supply company, and he would pick up in the AM. I paid supply co.
Unit was installed by 10 AM on 10/15, all went well.

The owner actually came out to do the repairs and he seemed nice.

The plumbers are friendly and quick. Scheduling can be a bit tricky depending on when you call.

On Sunday, Feb. 10, I noticed a leak down into the basement. I called D. L. Brown Plumbing Contractor, Inc. and was connected with an answering service. The answering service had the plumber on duty call me back. I told that plumber about the leak and said it wasn't an emergency. Since it would have cost extra to have it repaired on Sunday, I asked the plumber to have me put on the schedule for Monday, which he did.
On Monday at 11 a.m. Matt knocked at my door. He located the cause of the leak quickly and gave me options as to how it could be fixed. I choose the least expensive option and was charged only the service call fee of $93, which includes an hour of labor.
I have used D. L. Brown Plumbing several times. They do very good work, use good materials, clean up after themselves and are unfailingly pleasant and helpful.

It was completed but we still have problems.

Matt arrived to do the work. I supplied the back flow preventer that would be installed to replace the one in a copper line system for my yard. He removed the old unit, got half-way through installing the new unit and had some trouble with the solder sticking to the older copper end, So, he went to get a new segment of pipe and the connectors from a local store (as they were not standard size) and returned to complete the job in about 1.5 hours. The finished work looks professional and works fine. He also investigated a leak at the main valve (my request) and determined that it should be looked at by the city water folks since it was saturating the ground around the valve and may be indicative of a larger problem. Once they took a look at it, and if the problem persisted, he would come and dig up the area and to the work.

We bought a house in November 2008, and by about March 2009, the water heater was leaking. I called DL Brown and they were able to come the next day (even though we had a backup water heater and it wasn't urgent). Dan picked up the water heater we had purchased from the supplier, removed the old water heater, replumbed the larger unit into the system, installed it, tested it out, and disposed of the old tank all in about an hour and a half. He was very careful bringing the material and tank down into our finished basement (it has very light carpet - came with the house ;-), and cleaned up the area after he was done. The copper work was very well done and works well. He even alerted us to the tradeoffs in using the larger tank for the system so we made an informed decision. Very professional job.

The price was pretty decent for the work that they did. They were very punctual. They did a good job. They fixed it and cleaned up everything when they were done. I will use them again if needed.

Any problems incountered were on me not them.

They are definitely an A. They are very good. I was happy with the price but I have nothing to compare it with. If the work was as good as theirs was I don't care what the price was. I will probably contact them again in the future.
