"Ryan did an amazing job on our outdoor lighting and also on lighting inside of our garage. He was prompt, so very kind and extremely knowledgeable. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The price was very fair and Ryan even cleaned everything up! All in all it was a wonderful experience. Everything looks great. We recommend him wholeheartedly and plan to give his name to our friends. It is wonderful when you find someone who takes pride in his work! The absolute best! AAA+++😌"

"The service tech came and was very polite. He quickly pointed out the issue. Unfortunately, the issue was with the electrical outlet and not the dryer. He told me what needed to be done to correct the issue and I was then able to buy the parts at the store and fix it."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Yes, in a new home, ground wires are mandatory. Some older homes may not be grounded, but if you decide to renovate, you will need to have your electricity grounded at that time. Remember, grounding helps keep everyone in your home safe from sudden electrical surges. It’s best to hire an electrician to inspect and work with your home’s wiring.

To reset an electric fireplace, first shut the unit off using the control panel or remote control. Make sure the unit is entirely shut down, then unplug it from the power outlet. Wait five to 10 minutes, then plug the fireplace back in and turn it on. This process should reset the electric fireplace. After resetting, make sure to set the thermostat, timer, and other programmable settings to suit your preferences.

240V is the standard for more demanding appliances in the United States, whereas 220V is more common elsewhere. The voltage isn’t very different in any practical sense. The United States is a newer country compared to many other regions in the world with a faster adoption of new electrical needs. Appliances in the United States are often bigger than other parts of the world.

Yes, dehumidifiers use a lot of electricity. However, proper humidity also means your home’s temperature remains more stable, thus lowering heating and air conditioning bills. The good news is you shouldn’t need to use a dehumidifier more than a few months per year, so the energy costs won’t be as noticeable as other larger appliances.

No. Do not use a 14-gauge wire on a 20-amp outlet. A certified licensed electrician would know that the National Electrical Code (as per Section 240.4(D) subsection 3) requires 14-gauge wires to be used with a maximum amplitude of 15. Therefore, you should only use 12-gauge wires on 20-amp outlets.
