They did a great job of cleaning everything up when the job was done. We had a couple of little kinks. They were taken care of quickly with apologies. The completed new bathroom is even more beautiful than I could have anticipated. Gorden was easy to work with. He explained everything and helped with decisions. He is respected by his crew. "I had J Home Construction come in to remodel bathroom tub and surround. They took out the tub and tile and put in a shower base and re-tiled the walls. They were not to relocate the shower handle, but the worker started. They told me it had to be replaced and did so. Unfortunately, they installed it, left a leak and walled up the leak. I found the carpet on the other side of the shower wall wet. I tried twice to have them come back to fix the issue before securing another company to fix the leak. It has been almost a year and this company is not answering mail, calls, or knocks on the door. I advised that I would be taking them to small claims and they are simply avoiding contact. Buyer beware."

The reason I removed one star is because I believe the quoted contract price, specifically for allowances, can improve. You should expect to add a minimum of $20,000 to your contract price. I also recommend referring to your contract throughout to ensure you aren’t getting an extra charge for something that should be included. Like I said, the quality of work is fantastic, but the up front pricing can improve."
