Bathroom Remodel
I had J Home Construction come in to remodel bathroom tub and surround. They took out the tub and tile and put in a shower base and re-tiled the walls. They were not to relocate the shower handle, but the worker started. They told me it had to be replaced and did so. Unfortunately, they installed it, left a leak and walled up the leak. I found the carpet on the other side of the shower wall wet. I tried twice to have them come back to fix the issue before securing another company to fix the leak. It has been almost a year and this company is not answering mail, calls, or knocks on the door. I advised that I would be taking them to small claims and they are simply avoiding contact. Buyer beware.

"After the initial phone call describing the problem all communication from the customer was in the form of emails, which were filtered to the junk folder. Clearly a miscommunication. We purchased a defective from a local plumbing supply store suggested by the customer. We apologized and have remedied the problem."

We had a great experience. We remodeled two bathrooms and gutted them down to the studs. The quality of work was really great and the price was amazing. We had a contractor that was super clean. He was very careful to put down tarps on the floor and straightened everything before he left each night. When I did have questions, I was able to call the owner John and he would either explain it over the phone or stop over to walk me through it.. Additionally, there were a few times that I was concerned about something and he made it right. I would recommend this company to anyone. I plan on hiring them for additional work in coming months.

"We apologize for the inconvenience of a higher invoice. However, the invoice was higher simply because there was a request for additional work to be completed at the residence that was not originally outlined in the contract. If someone requests us to do additional work we charge an additional fee for the service and for the materials."

John was great to work with. Always answered our questions and addressed our concerns. Robert was such a hard worker and gutted our master bath and built us a new one, along with our new closet in 1 week! Excellent work and beautiful results. He was also very respectful and courteous of our family. Will definitely use them again when we remodel our next bathroom.

The project itself was really great. The quality of work was very good, but they were very messy and didn't clean up after themselves at all. The basement was a mess and the carpet was dirty and there was concrete on the knobs and stuff. They didn't communicate very well and tell us the parts would take so long to order. Over the quality of work was good, but the company was not very courteous.
