James and his crew were easy to work with. Responded in a timely fashion leading up to the job, and showed up on time every day during the project. Offered advice where it was needed and answered questions when they came up. Finished on time and cleaned up before they left. As other projects come up, I plan I working with them again.

OCP Construction renovated two bathrooms & finished our basement in 2023. This company is minority-owned and claims to be for the community. They are licensed and insured. The crew was great - Diego and the rest of the team were punctual, respectful, and the work was decent. Communication was a huge struggle and overall disappointment. They were rude and pushy to my mother. They went directly to my parents a lot even though my name was on the contract and the checks. Possible prejudice against my gender and age? Who knows. They tried to charge me double for the doors in our basement if I hadn’t caught it. Called them this spring to give us an estimate for leak in basement. NO PRIOR COMMUNICATION OR AGREEMENT and they cut up the drywall to find the leak. They didn’t ask for payment till 5 months after the fact. And they insisted they repaired the pipe when they very much did not. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and all they care about is money. I will never call them again.

Completed the project in time and built up to expectations

OCP built out a basement office for us and did a phenomenal job. Not only did they craft a stellar office space for me, but they quickly, efficiently, and professionally pivoted to help us when a foundation leak was discovered. Without skipping a beat they corrected the issue and continued finishing the space. They do outstanding work and I highly recommend them.

The team (Diego and his crew) were very punctual each of the days they were onsite. Informed me in advance when they were not going to be onsite and discussed each work phase (though communication challenges existed due to limited english) with me.

They did an inspection of the basement, took photos and let me know that will send this information to an insurance. After 3 months, they did not finish the job, and the job that they did is sub standard. SP also took vacation on the middle of the project. Since the last time that he visited my house at the beginning of July I did not hear anything about them.

OCP finished our basement and exceeded our expectations. They couldnâ t have made it easier with our change requests mid-project as we added a few new features. They provide a clear line item quote and update it as the project goes along that is easy to follow.

I hired OCP construction to finish my basement earlier this year. They worked closely with me in every phase of the project from proposal for the work to executing the work with finer details and modifications as we requested through the progress of the work. James and Jay would visit the work regularly to ensure workmanship, quality and schedule of the work. Their crew is really good with their workmanship. OCP construction also worked closely with the city on permits and inspection. Overall, I was very happy with the work OCP construction delivered for my basement.

The workers for this company were very disrespectful to my home. They left clothes that they worked in including shoes on my sofa couch each day they were there. They place pots of coffee on my desk even though I asked them not to. They left my basement floor muddy with foot prints when they left, my sofa couch had dust all over it because they did not cover it up, and they left dirt all throughout my bathroom (a space they were not even working in). They also did not prep work for a painting job; they painted my dresser draws SHUT; they painted over my vent including the latch which was closed; they painted over nails and holes from paintings in the wall - no patching; they painted over my electrical outlets in which I had to replace. The did an poor paint job to the point I asked them not to come back to fix any of these things; I hired someone else to clean up what they should have done. I will NEVER HIRE or RECOMMEND this company again.

James and his crew did an incredible job on our project. We had a pesky leak in our bathroom ceiling that popped up yearly in our top floor condo unit. Weâ ve dealt with several contractors in the past that just fixed it cosmetically or took shortcuts to â fixâ it. They assessed where the leak could be coming from and took the time to make sure they fixed the issue on the exterior of the building before completing the work on the interior. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project. They were also able to finish the project in a timely manner. We are definitely going to be working with them again with any future projects we may have.
