"This is the second time we have called upon MQ Painting to do work at our house. Jose and his team were very professional. They did a great job on our house! Jose kept us updated with a time schedule and always got back to us when we asked questions. I would highly recommend MQ Painting for your painting needs. He will be the first one we call for our next painting project."

"Pro Painting and Restoration did a wonderful job. The price quote was very competitive. The interior painting of the ceilings, walls, baseboards, doors, trim, and door jambs turned out great. From sanding, to priming, to 2 coats of paint, it was all done correctly. I highly recommend this company."

"Eric had some rather unique challenges because he had to match some textured walls that were peeling. It took a little longer than expected, but it came out really great. I would call on him anytime to do painting work for me."

"New in town renovating my daughters apartment these guys were excellent on time never asked for any money down carry up 20 sheets of drywall long hallway to the elevator, and then another long walk to the apartment door to the ninth floor very professional did not damage any door frames or doors or elevator. They even purchase Benjamin Moore paint to seal the drywall which I wasn’t expecting everything was top-notch work performed within three days as stated I would hire them again anytime even cleaned up their mess and vacuumed the floors."

Customers say: Quality work

"Antonio & Juan do top notch work. They get our highest recommendation. They did interior painting with some repair work, and also had their contractors replace carpeting in 2 rooms and a hallway. Everything was perfect. His painting with his Dad Juan turned out amazing. He has done other work for us as well, and he is good at problem solving, and he is very passionate about his work and he is customer friendly! He and Juan are our go to guys for everything!!!"

Interior Painting FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

Removing paint from brick can have both aesthetic and practical value. Some people prefer the timeless look of bare brick, making it worthwhile to remove old paint layers. Brick also lasts longer when unpainted, as paint traps moisture, causing the brick to deteriorate more quickly. If your brick walls are already in bad shape, stripping the paint off might do more harm than good.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

You don’t necessarily have to remove all the old paint before repainting your deck, but it’s best to remove as much as possible to ensure a smooth and long-lasting finish. Prioritize scraping off loose, peeling, or flaking paint, and sand down rough areas to create a smooth surface for the new paint to bond with.

The list of what removes caulk residue includes rubbing alcohol. In some cases, rubbing alcohol can also help remove water-based caulk. However, old caulk or caulk that’s in layers from years of upkeep and projects might prove to be too much for simple rubbing alcohol and may require a caulk-removing solution from a home improvement store.
