"It went well. I emailed Junk Relief with a description of the service needed, and they scheduled a pick-up within a 2 hour window the following day. On the day of pick-up, the movers called 30 minutes ahead of their arrival, and arrived on time. The whole thing lasted not more than 5 minutes, and they accepted cash or credit card payment on-site, which was convenient. I'm sure if you have a really good friend, time and a good back, you could do a disposal like this on your own, but if you don't, call Junk Relief. Their price seemed similar to other disposal services listed. I was not up-charged from the quote given."

The encapsulation process sounds like a great solution to any crawlspace issues that may be present.  However, it is a costly solution, although may have this done in the future. 
The inspection process went well, friendly, professional and all questions thoroughly answered.  The only down-side:  Minor issue, but wish men had placed a drop-cloth outside the crawlspace entrance so as not to track out any crawlspace soil."

"tl;dr I highly recommend talking to LAND before you hire any demo company, and would recommend them to any friend. I was afraid my single family home knockdown demo wouldn't be big enough to interest demo companies in Chicago, but since my first quote from LAND, I never felt like they were blowing me off. Actually, compared to a few people who had similar projects in Chicago with other companies, I expected zero transparency on pricing, zero updates on progress, and zero urgency. None of that was true with Dan. I actually found LAND extremely transparent and communicative. Every question I had along the way was answered same day, often within 10 minutes. Although there are always unexpected delays when dealing with a city like Chicago and its permit processes, I never felt like the project was abandoned. And as a resident in the neighboring building, I was very concerned of the noise and mess and possible damage but despite the super tight space, my neighbors and I were both happy with the quality of the job. I had a few special requests too, which Dan was able to accommodate where other companies who I talked to said it was too difficult (eg. can we save half the fence, can we leave the garage and demo from front, can we level out the soil, etc). Lastly, the price was super competitive too, right at the lower end of the range I was seeing from all the quotes I got. Thanks Dan and LAND."

"Dominic came out and did the quote to bury to drain pipes from the gutters. He proposed solutions and locations for the lines. He understand my concern with the garden and visability. It took me some time to pull the trigger on the project. He honored the price, always called back promptly. They do have a heavy work load and it took a while to get on the schedule, they didn't do a reminder call for Julie to me so that was a challenge (they could do that to improve efficiency). The team arrived on time, finished the project early. They cut up the grass and were careful of the wiring for landscape lighting. The yard was put back together like it never happened, I'm not sure the grass will survive but were almost a week and its still trying, but not their fault. The team was professional cleaned up the project. I didn't watch to see how many holes they put in the pipe and I should of done that, as they closed it up before I went back outside. I would recommend telling them you wish to view that. I also special ordered white filters so they matched the gutter/downspout vs black. I may have to trim the gutter as they left a large amount to ensure the pieces don't slip but the leaves seem to have gotten stuck with the lighter rain. All in all very pleased."
