"We had a floor leveling issue in which a room was part tile over cement and part carpet over hardwood, with the tiled part being higher than the carpeted part. We wanted to remove the tile, level the entire floor, and have hard wood flooring throughout the room. This was a challenge for the other contractors and flooring people who came out to give estimates. However, Mike of Mike’s flooring came out and immediately knew how to implement a plan of action. Mike’s team responded quickly and finished the job in a timely manner. They were pleasant and respectful, took care to limit the dust, and cleaned up after themselves. " A+++ review !!!  It has been one of  the best experiences I have ever had!!! I left a message on a Saturday evening at 6 pm and received a call back a few minutes later.  Unbelievable!  Mary was so fantastic and coordinated everything and kept me informed  all the time.  Bob came out to show me samples and measure and he was very professional and very informative.  He also spent a lot of time with me.  I had one major issue and that is a floor to ceiling wall unit which takes up a whole wall and is not able to be unassembled. Bob said that was no problem that the installers could go under the posts or cut around them and it would not be noticeable.  That is precisely what happened!!! The installers were so precise and so professional and they worked so very hard and did an absolutely fantastic job.  I had just had my condo painted and I have very heavy and large furniture and I was worried about damage to the new paint in doorways and baseboards, but very little needs touching up.  I wanted really good plush carpeting as I hadn't replaced my carpet in 28 years.  By being a member of Angie's List I was able to use the $100 coupon offered in the August catalog and I also received a 10 % senior discount and extra thick padding at no additional charge. The nylon carpet I purchased is guaranteed for 20 years, so it will most likely outlast me. We have used Exposition Carpet for several carpet installations over many years in our finished basement, and have consistently found the best pricing, ease of schedule and quality installation thru them. After going through a back porch remodel enclosing to a mudroom, we wanted a pet friendly, water resistant and durable floor so we went with vinyl plank. The store had many options, and time frame to get material was within a week. We checked out a 'sale' prior at a trendy well known Lincoln Avenue store, only to be met with double the cost and attitude. So we ended up back at Exposition and it was a done deal within 2 weeks.
