"Andy and his team of guys were exceptional to work with. Andy is extremely knowledgeable and helped us through every step of the project, including recommended vendors to select materials and fixtures. All contractors we worked with did great work and were extremely courteous and professional We hired Handymen and Mrs. Helper for a complete bathroom remodel and were so pleased with them we hired them again for some smaller work in our kitchen a few months later. Would strongly recommend to family, friends or anyone!"

"Wonderful experience!!!! Luis and his team are true professionals, they made this job easy and painless. I needed to replace three 30 year old toliets and a portion of my kitchen ceiling where one of the toliets was leaking from. The finished product was so great I would not be able to locate the damage if I didn’t know/see the damage before. Must hire this team for your project large or small."

"We are extremely pleased with the work that Nyberg Exteriors did for us. Andy and Arthur came out within a few days of us calling and gave us a very reasonable bid to replace the shingled portion of our old vintage house and also a bid to replace the roof on our garage. They they were very patient with us when we were scheduling the work. We weren't sure how all the work would affect our landscaping, so we scheduled our work for the fall and on a weekend. Andy and Arthur came out with a crew of 6-7 guys at 8:00 am and got right to work. They laid out some tarps to cover our plants and we're very cognizant and considerate of our neighbors. They did the whole job in one long day and cleaned up every scrape that came off the roof. It looked cleaner than before they started. All in all we very happy with the end result. They even did a small siding repair while they were here. Easy to work with, being on time, good guys and quality of work all made this project easy for us."

"Started with a depressing and ugly attic bathroom and finished with an ipdated modern and beautiful bathroom.   Lots of assistance as I struggled to find the right lights, tiles. fixtures and kept trying to help me make the right choices.  It's a real skill when a contractor can stop and listen to the client and Pawel does just that.

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.
