"My wife and I live in a house built in the 1950's. Waste water was backing up into a sink. An exterior cleanout needed to be installed and Robert and his crew turned out to be the answer. They were not the cheapest quote nor were they the most expensive. The job was expertly done with care taken to keep the operation as clean as possible. Except for one small glitch in the scheduling of the work, the job was accomplished beautifully (if you can say that about a cleanout) and all drainage has been restored to normal."

"The team at J Plumbing did an amazing job! Even when coming out for the quote they were very professional and knew the right questions to ask. They installed a Navien tankless water heater (which seems to be the standard in the industry as all three other companies quoted the same) with an 11.5 gpm water flow rate for THOUSANDS less than we were quoted by others. Since installation our hot water is consistent and never-ending! We are ecstatic with the results, and will look to J Plumbing for future needs as well."

"The job went very well and the work was done much more quickly than I expected.  I thought that the old laundry sink would take a great deal of time to remove and be replaced with the new one, but that was not the case.  The area was left in very clean condition.  Overall, the job was done very well, professionally, courteously, and swiftly.  Communication between me and Splash Plumber was timely and accurate.  When I need additional plumbing work done, including periodic sewer rodding, I will use Splash Plumber."

"I would use H2O again. Price was reasonable and it has been 2 weeks and my sink doesn’t back up so the work was great. Good quality work! Only issue I had was the timing. The techs didn’t show up as scheduled so I called and left a voicemail. They called right back but still ended up coming 2 hours after the scheduled time. It wasn’t a deal breaker since I had no other obligations that morning. Other than punctuality, they were great!"

"My mother has been dealing with sink issues for years. Eventually, things got bad, and something needed to be done. She was very concerned but the representatives made her feel comfortable that they could fix her problem easily. Not only did they fix her slow running sink that would constantly back up, but the water drains extremely fast with absolutely no issues. She made sure to let friends and family know what an amazing job they did. I would like my mom highly recommend this company. Thank you so much for the great work."

"Matt did a very thorough job.  He came twice to complete the work.  The chemicals have very strong smell, which lasts for a few days.
It is not recommended that we use mats with suction cups on a re-finished tub.  I did not know this prior to re-finishing.
It was a bit expensive, however, cheaper than buying and installing a brand new tub.
Matt was very punctual and professional, and very thorough. He did a very nice job, and hope that the finish doesn't peel for the next 10 years!

"Mike and Matt were great, they were skilled, efficient, and friendly. I thought replacing an under-mount stainless steel sink in an existing granite cutout would be very difficult at best. I knew replacing the faucet and disposal would be a routine job. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire job went fine and they were finished in 2.5 hours. They cleaned up the work area and hauled away the old sink, etc. I will say that their prices are high, but I was willing to pay for quality work, especially with the tricky sink replacement."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

A good option for opening up and cleaning a sink drain is to use a ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar, along with a rubber stopper to cover the drain while those materials work their magic. After about 15 minutes, you can flush the drain with hot water. In many cases, these materials can scrub out minor clogs and get the drain working properly again. If the issue persists, call in a plumber near you to get the problem permanently fixed.

Vanities may come with a countertop and sink but won’t include faucets. You’ll need to purchase your faucets separately from a home improvement or hardware store. When shopping for a fixture, you’ll have plenty of bathroom faucet types to choose from. Think about your vanity and bathroom aesthetics and what you need when deciding. Single-handle and centerset faucets work well in any space, while widespread, bridge, and wall-mount fixtures work in modern bathrooms.

There are few things more annoying than trying to fall asleep only to be woken up by the sound of a dripping faucet. If the faucet drips when the water is off, it probably has a loose or damaged seat washer. The screw gets loose from repeated use, making the faucet drip. With outdoor faucets, this is more common in the summer when people are using it more often to water the garden or cool off. Disassembling the faucet and tightening or replacing the seat washer and screw can get the dripping to stop.

Local plumbing codes and manufacturer recommendations typically dictate the minimum distance between a sink and a dishwasher. This is generally 18 to 24 inches, providing enough room for easy loading and unloading of dishes without hindering the sink's function. Maintaining this separation not only adds convenience but also reduces the chances of water damage and optimizes plumbing connections.

Many homeowners stress about cleaning before an emergency plumber arrives, but you’re far better off doing the following while you wait for your plumber to get to your home:

  • Shut the water off at your water main if you have a leak or a burst pipe

  • Avoid using any water fixtures in your home, including appliances

  • Clear a path to the problem area so that it’s easily accessible

  • Consider shutting your breaker if you’re concerned that the leak may affect your electrical system
