Small jobs welcome

"Jim did a beautiful job on my master bathroom. My bathroom was old and outdated. He removed bathtub and added a large shower with a low threshold and glass doors. He also added his and hers open shelving on either side of the shower. I picked a high end tile and his craftsmanship elevated the tile even more. He took care of the electric and plumbing too. He went above my expectations. Jim is personable and professional. I will have him back to paint inside of home and hang storm doors this summer."

Small jobs welcome

"We Chris and his team to paint our kitchen cabinets. Then we asked if they also do floor installation and we hired them for that project. Upon completion, we have also asked Chris to be our go-to repair guy for a rental property. All the work was done very nicely and we would not have repeatedly hired Chris and his team if we were not satisfied. On time, reasonable price, courteous and professional."

Customers say: Quality work

"Good folks that give good work for what you are paying. Every other electrician I spoke with wanted double what these guys were charging just for installing a single doorbell. Well these guys were happy to do honest work for a fair price. I would definitely use them again."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Never add oil unless the fan is specifically designed for it. Most modern ceiling fans are designed with sealed bearings that don’t require oiling. However, some older fans may have oil ports for lubrication. If your fan is older and you hear squeaking or grinding, check the manual or the manufacturer’s website to see if oiling is recommended.

While it may seem like it makes sense to put a fan in the attic to cool it down, it won’t be as effective as installing attic fans. Ventilation installed near the peak of the roof, whether passive (just allowing heat to escape) or active (drawing the air up and out) will be more effective at cooling the attic.

When maintained and repaired when necessary, your whole-house fan can last between 10 and 20 years. Check your warranty when purchasing the unit, as it will typically only cover between 5 and 15 years. Its longevity will also depend on your local climate and how much you use the fan. Having a professional size your fan appropriately for your home size will also help ensure it doesn’t get overworked, which can limit its lifespan.

A tripped circuit breaker, broken pull chain, faulty wiring, or a bad motor or capacitor are all common causes for a fan to stop working.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.
