Revitalize your bathroom with reglazing! It's a game-changer for worn-out bathtubs, sinks, and tiles. This cost-effective process involves applying a fresh coat of glaze, erasing stains and chips. Say goodbye to expensive replacements, reglazing is the key to a bathroom transformation that catches the eye and saves your budget.

"As a contractor it’s difficult to find professional, competent people to preform certain projects for us. Star glow Reglazing showed up on time, worked diligently, which resulted in an excellent final product! Will use them again."

"Very good job. I'm very happy with the results of his work. He did an acceptable job on the clean up. Initially covered the floor but at some point removed the covering which required mopping the floor 3 times to remove the dirt and construction debris. They were professional and friendly. Would recommend him for hire."

"contracted 12x14 deck with half moon extention should have been another 24 inches. half moon extention should have been 14 feet. He drew what I wanted but didn't show me if I had seen his drawings this complain could have been avoided miscommunication on his part led to problems. I changed my mind about the wooden deck to composite materials. Wrote check 3000 dollars for purchase of composite materials. He purchased materials and delivered it to my backyard. Frame went up to 12x14 deck. Needed to talk to him in person workers took off 24 inches on each side making deck 10x14..we had a disagreement when I told him I wanted a 12x14 deck which he promised to correct. He procedeed to tell his workersto remove paid for track deck materials. Left property with workers will not return txt or phone calls. He now has 13000 dollars of my money. and will not answer my calls or txt."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

When it comes to cleaning bathrooms, bleach usually comes to mind. But like ammonia, bleach can damage acrylic tubs. In fact, many tub manufacturers warn against using bleach on acrylic bathtubs, and doing so could void the warranty on your tub. Again, a gentler cleaner specifically made for acrylic tubs, or one of the homemade methods listed above, is your better bet here.

Most homeowners need to wait at least two days, sometimes three, to use their bathtub following the reglazing process. That’s the normal length of time it takes for epoxy resin to cure. There are quick-dry epoxy kits available that cure in 12 hours, though. To ensure that the epoxy dries properly, try to ventilate the bathroom as well as you can.

Acrylic tubs can fade or turn yellow over time due to thick layers of accumulated dirt, hard water deposits from minerals, and shampoo or soap dyes. Also, as an acrylic tub ages, it may become dull or change color due to changes in the acrylic itself.

As with any project, refinishing your bathtub presents pros and cons to consider, such as:

Pros

  • The job is typically quick, and your tub is ready within 48 hours.

  • Your bathtub looks new.

  • You don’t need to tear out the old tub and replace it with a new one.

  • You can customize it with the color of your choice.

  • You can’t tell the bathtub has been refinished.

Cons

  • Refinished bathtubs can be slippery.

  • Not all refinishing products are created equal.

  • You need to wait up to 48 hours before using the bathtub.

A chipped bathtub could leak over time if you don’t take care of the issue. A tiny chip isn’t a big deal but may eventually grow into a larger crack. As the months go by, the tub’s barrier against moisture becomes weakened, making it prone to leaking. Large chips can also cause the tub to rust and even crack in half.
