"Austin and Rein Landscaping LLC took over from another "landscaping" company I previously had. Rein was a great improvement over the other outfit. His is a young company, yet they are knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. Austin has been a good listener and has carefully followed the few concerns I had regarding my Hostas and the poison ivy growing along our fence (He eradicated the poison ivy without killing nearby vegetation.). Rein is conscientious and efficient. I highly recommend this couteous young man and his top-notch company."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it is worth paying for professional lawn care. DIY lawn maintenance is possible, but it can get extremely time-consuming, especially to make your property look well-maintained. Not only is lawn maintenance time-intensive, but it can also get expensive, even to DIY, especially considering the cost of fuel and maintenance for your lawn care tools. Professional lawn care services average around $100 per service, making it a relatively inexpensive investment, especially for how much time it saves you.

Post-seeding care involves regular watering, mowing when appropriate, and occasional re-seeding to cover sparse areas.

Mowing a lawn will, unfortunately, not get rid of clover, and it may even encourage it to flourish. Let your lawn grow to a healthy height of over 3 inches and then set your mower blades no lower than this level. Higher grass will cut out the light that clover loves and discourage it from spreading.

Lawn mower blades should be sharp enough that you can feel the sharpened edge, but not sharp enough to cut you when you touch them. Over-sharpening blades to a fine, razor-edge poses a safety risk and decreases the blade's life because it causes extra wear; the thinner edge is sharper but weaker and will require more frequent sharpening.

Yes, especially for properties focusing on curb appeal. A well-maintained landscape supports visual and environmental attractiveness, potentially increasing desirability.
