"I would not recommend Sergio to my family and friends. Please be aware. He took my house keys and never returned them. He charged materials and supplies on my Home Depot card and did not return or use the material for the work done for my home. Sergio took $1500 deposit for working only one day at my home and left all the garbage in my garage. He said a demolition costs $1800. He used a tax exempt card for a church for purchasing my floors at Floor&Decor and asked me to pay him half of the taxes in cash for the taxes which were waived. He said he knew someone at the Floor&Decor who would give him a discount. He never told me it is a tax exempt discount for a church which he is going to use. When I told his son that is fraud, he laughed at me and told me he knows what his rights are. This is the most unethical man I have ever worked with. He claims he is a "good man." Don't be fooled."

All work is done with written out, signed contracts so both parties know what will be completed and how it will be financed. Typically a job will have a deposit, which depends on the size of the job and divided up payments depending on the progress of the job. Remaining amount paid at completion.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

As a safety measure, you should always turn off the main breaker while operating your generator’s backup breaker. In addition, you should also switch off all appliance breakers so you don't have a power surge when the main breaker turns back on. And finally, turning off the main breaker prevents back-feeding, which endangers utility workers with the risk of electrocution. Back-feeding could also destroy the electrical circuits of your neighbors if they use the same power network.

The number of outdoor outlets that can be on one circuit depends on the circuit's capacity and the electrical load of each outlet. Outdoor outlets should ideally be on a dedicated circuit that is not shared with other outlets, and each outlet should be rated for at least 15 amps. A circuit rated for at least 20 amps is recommended. It’s important to use GFCI protection for all outdoor outlets to prevent electrical shocks. Overall, it's crucial to avoid overloading the circuit and take necessary safety precautions.

Yes. A pellet stove should have its own 110V outlet and dedicated circuit breaker. Otherwise, it could overload the system. Pellet stoves can create major fire hazards if they aren’t wired properly or have to share circuits. Get in touch with a local electrician or pellet stove expert if you need to run new wiring for a pellet stove.

It's less expensive to run power overhead because it doesn’t require excavation, and the power cables are less costly. However, underground electric service is better protected from weather and general wear and tear, so it’s less likely to get damaged. When determining which way to run power, consult a local electrician to get an expect opinion.

Ultimately, the best device depends on what you’re measuring. A voltmeter only measures volts, while a multimeter measures volts, current, resistance, humidity, and possibly much more, depending on the model. If you think you’ll need to measure more than volts, consider investing in a multimeter so you have a tool that can help you with various household projects.
