Scott is fantastic! We have an older home in Elmhurst, build in the mid 1920's. We had a light in our main bathroom, a hallway light and a basement light that were not working. Before he came, he asked my husband to send a picture and brief idea of what the issue was, I assume to prepare for what he may need to bring to repair. He had everything he needed to fix all three lights. Scott is especially great at knowing how to fix electrical issues of older homes. Before we found Scott, we had other electricians who were not at all equipped with the challenges of an older home. We have been hiring Scott for various electrical things for over 8 years. We would highly recommend him to anyone. He is reliable, communicative, professional, respectful and personable. His prices are reasonable.

Scott called as soon as I expressed interest in having him do work in our condo. I explained that this is a second home for us, and that I'd appreciate an appointment during the morning so that we could get back on the road to central Illinois. He was able to accommodate our time constraints, called to verify our appointment, and then arrived 15 minutes early. He not only made friends with our dog, but installed two fixtures, replaced a dimmer switch, and gave advice about under counter lighting and bathroom fixtures. Advice, he says, is free!! He took time time to diagnose and fix an issue with a pendant light that would not work with a LED bulb. He gave advice about local hardware stores. Before he left, he went to his car and retrieved a switchplate that he washed up so that it looked as good as new, and installed it in the place of the old one which would not accommodate dimmer switches. We did not have our check book with us, so he happily accepted cash payment. We will definitely have him back for the work in that needs to be done in the bathroom and for the under counter lighting install.

This is not the first time we’ve used him. He fixed a buzzing sound coming from our breaker and replaced dimmers on our track lighting. He even dropped off special covers for around the switches (because otherwise the drywall was showing). Just excellent service.

Scott arrived on time, was able to find the problem within minutes. Fixed the light, checked out a few other issues to make sure it was not contributing to the original problem.

I've used him several times and he's a terrific guy. It worked great. I went and bought it and he put it in. He has a lot of experience. He came on time, did his job, cleaned up.
