"I was very pleased with the installation. The two technicians acted professionally and appeared to be technically knowledgeable. They were communicative and polite. They wore shoe coverings and covered the light colored stairs and family room carpeting with drop cloths to avoid getting them dirty. Because of COVID-19 requirements, they wore masks and gloves."

"This was a wonderful deal! Although only 4 lights came with the special offer we opted to get 6. Chris and Trey were fantastic. They helped me to decide the location and spacing of the lights (so often contractors say "you decide") and I appreciated their expertise. They did everything quickly and cleaned up along the way. Trey came back the next day and put in a complicated ceiling fan. They are great!"

"The exterior lobby door of one of my apartment building was in very bad condition. Most of the varnish  had peeled off. The wood had rotted at the bottom and the window panes were all loose. I was going to replace the door but I couldn't find an oak door of that size that matched the style of the building. In addition I needed to have the frame around the door and the transom above the door finished and stained to match the lobby door. I was reluctant to pay over $2,000.00 because it seemed like a waste of money since the door was in such bad shape but I couldn't see an alternative.
It took quite a few days to compete this job. The door had to be taken off the hinges so the wood on the bottom could be replaced with new wood. The entire door had to be stripped on both sides along with the frame around the door and the transom (where the address number of the building is). New hinges had to be installed because the door sagged slightly and all the windows had to be secured. Then the wood had to be stained and covered with two coats of finish and he had to install a kick plate.
It was worth waiting for. I was thrilled to see how well it came out. He picked the right stain color so It complements the brick on the building and it almost looks like a new door. I should have had him scrape off the old address numbers on the glass transom because they look kind of faded next to the new finish but he can do that when the weather warms up.
I've used Felipe so many times to perform handyman work for me but I have also had him do some major projects and he has done an excellent job each time.

"Started with a depressing and ugly attic bathroom and finished with an ipdated modern and beautiful bathroom.   Lots of assistance as I struggled to find the right lights, tiles. fixtures and kept trying to help me make the right choices.  It's a real skill when a contractor can stop and listen to the client and Pawel does just that.

"Black Diamond was very accommodating in scheduling and very prompt when the appointed time came. They discovered ,at the time , the secondary but most important reason for all the failures, THE SURGE THAT COMPROMISED THE INTEGRITY OF MY IN-HOUSE ELECTRICITY. I would hire them in a heart beat if I need any problems in my house"

"It was easy to schedule and work with Wildur. Within a day of the purchase, Wildur reached out to confirm a date to stop by to assess the job and then set a date to complete the work. They did exactly what was discussed. They were on time and cleaned up afterward. Other companies had indicated there would be drywall repair following the install that I would have to handle. Not with Wildur. They were able to keep the drywall intact."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, recessed lights can be installed in a bathroom and are a popular choice for several reasons. Recessed lights have a compact, flush-to-ceiling design, which makes them ideal for providing ample light and modern style in bathrooms without taking up too much space.

Also, because recessed lighting sits in a housing inside the ceiling, it makes it a safe, watertight lighting option for your shower. Just make sure they’re wet- or damp-rated before you install them in your bathroom.

First of all, don’t shop for bargain lights—often, you’ll end up with a faulty or broken strand, full of dead bulbs or less-than-luminous brightness. Choose quality lights that will last you many years—LED lights have been known to last as long as 100,000 hours. Second, plan ahead and purchase lights for next year’s Christmas during this year’s post-holiday sales. Finally, have a vision and a plan—if you know the measurements of your home, including any windows, doors, and outside bushes you wish to light up, you should be able to only purchase the necessary lights and not more than you need.

Common fixtures include LED panels, recessed lighting, and heavy-duty outlets. Choose based on energy efficiency and usage.

LED lights offer a range of benefits. In addition to lasting for a long time, LED lights are energy efficient and can put less demand on both your energy bill and the environment. They’re also made from durable materials and function in extreme conditions, which means they won’t easily break or shatter.

The average cost to install outdoor or landscape lighting is around $4,000, with most projects ranging from $2,000 to $6,000. The total cost can vary widely depending on several factors, including the number of fixtures, design complexity, and the type and quality of the lights used, such as wall sconces, pathway lights, or lamp posts. Other factors that influence the price are the square footage of the area being lit, the amount of electrical work needed, any required excavation or trenching, and local permitting costs. For specific types, you might pay around $100 for pathway or string lighting and up to $700 for lamp post lighting.
