After meeting with 10+ contractors in the Burr Ridge area, we chose BSC Landscaping and could not be happier with him and his team. We bought our home primarily due to the lot which features mature trees, hills, and a creek passing through. These features required a team that could navigate the complexity of building with water runoff, preservation, and a balance between nature and hardscaping in mind. They absolutely nailed it! BSC installed a paver patio, replaced an old swail with a natural-looking boulder and cobblestone creek bed, cleared overgrown weeds, installed trees, and seeded large areas to expand our lawn to gain more space for kids to play. We just hired them again to redesign our front yard which includes a paver parking space and the installation of a property border featuring a range of plants and trees. "We have hired Aerate 1 several times and have always been thrilled with their work. They planted a tree and provided pruning after the tree matured. They surrounded our above ground pool with drainage covered by pea gravel inside brick, and installed a paver walkway to the pool's heater. They landscaped the front and side with mulch inside brick. Every time they do work they make the site look better than when they arrived, even in areas only slightly impacted by their work. I highly recommend their company due to their excellent work and commitment to keeping their promises about when and what will be done!"

"Dean was great to work with. This was an extensive job, requiring a lot of brush clearing and stump removal, along with a brick walkway to the front door. Dean and the crew did great work, at a very good price. We are exceedingly happy with the results - the landscaping really makes the house look good now. "Better Green showed up at the same time, on the same day every week throughout the summer and did a very good job. The service was timely and reliable. Price was at the high end of the market, but it was what many other providers were charging so I believe it was fair.

The only problem came at the end of the season when without notice and certainly without my permission, they began charging an additional $25/wk for "leaf removal". Since billing is performed monthly, they tried billing me an additional $75 before I was even aware of it. I paid the invoice, short the additional charges, noting that I refuse to pay for charges that I was not notified of prior to incurring them. I had used two other services over the years prior to Better Green and neither ever charged for "leaf removal". Whatever leaves are on the ground are automatically collected as part of the mowing service so charging a separate fee for this is ridiculous. Maybe it results in a little extra clippings to be removed. If they would have asked for $5 I probably wouldn't have argued over it. But $25 is highway robbery. And this is certainly not a customary charge in the industry. I'll be finding a new service for 2016."

"KLI did a great job with our sod and landscaping our yard after we installed a pool. Jerry had great follow through, despite being very busy. He worked hard to keep our project within budget while still making our yard look amazing. Jerry has even been keeping in touch after the project was completed and fully paid, just to check in with us. We had some struggling sod so he came by and replaced it and put down organic fertilizer, both at no additional cost to us. We will definitely be using KLI for future landscaping projects and we highly recommend them."

"Our natural stone retaining wall was failing due to improper initial installation by the original contractor several years ago. Brian and Luis came in and totally rebuilt the wall properly with the correct base and drainage to insure a long lasting product. The team arrived as scheduled and completed the work within the timeframe given. We couldn't be happier with the result!"

"The team of four workers with the owner showed up right on time 8:30 am and started work. I had an errand at 7:00am ,so we communicated by text/email and mobile that the could start before I got back this morning. They were already done with the edging, weeding and removal of sod in the new bed along the fence. Since we have rows of Daffodils planted, they carefully removed sod and weeded around about 100 Tulips and daffodils. (It was amazing). They power raked, aerated and completely cleaned up my yard and put in very high quality Mulch that looks fantastic. It is a family business and the whole operation was very efficient and they cleaned up nicely before leaving. With the current shortage of labor, I had been trying for weeks to get a landscaper to return a call. Four Brothers are a great outfit and I plan to bring them out in the fall to remove a tree and install some more bushes. I strongly recommend them."
