Small jobs welcome

"Scott's a great guy, but not a professional painter. I found myself requesting a lot of touch-ups and re-do's, along with multiple requests for second coats of paint (which I made clear was agreed to at the outset of the engagement). I'm going to have to correct some of the work that was done, and add additional coats of paint here and there. Overall, I think the job was bigger than Scott realized at the beginning. However, Scott is very personable and a good dude. Hire him if you want a simple job done fast at a decent price. If you have a complex job, with a lot of drywall work, I recommend that you go with someone else."

"Manny from Rodrigo’s Painting 1 Inc. is a genuine professional. He was reliable, coming every day he promised and the hours he promised as well. He stayed within budget and painted my entire house within a week. He was neat and organized and painted our home beautifully. Manny and his team were wonderful. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the job that was done. We would use Manny and his team again without hesitation! We would absolutely recommend Rodrigo’s Painting 1 Inc."

"Curtis did a phenomenal job! He painted the interior of our garage. We asked for multiple colors on the walls and ceiling. He provided a quote, timeline and told us how much paint was required and the type of paint to purchase. He was always on time and finished the job in a timely manner. He was very easy to work with and I have recommended him to several family members and friends. I would highly recommend Mr Perfect Painting to anyone seeking a top notch job at a very reasonable cost. Stay away from the large organizations that over charge. This small business provides great service and quality work."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $2 to $7 per square foot, depending on surface type, paint layers, and removal method.

The list of what removes caulk residue includes rubbing alcohol. In some cases, rubbing alcohol can also help remove water-based caulk. However, old caulk or caulk that’s in layers from years of upkeep and projects might prove to be too much for simple rubbing alcohol and may require a caulk-removing solution from a home improvement store.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Removing paint from brick can have both aesthetic and practical value. Some people prefer the timeless look of bare brick, making it worthwhile to remove old paint layers. Brick also lasts longer when unpainted, as paint traps moisture, causing the brick to deteriorate more quickly. If your brick walls are already in bad shape, stripping the paint off might do more harm than good.

WD-40 can help remove paint on wood floors, but use it cautiously. Start with a small amount and let it sit for a few minutes, then gently scrape the paint off using a plastic (not metal) scraper. You may want to test it first on a hidden area to ensure it doesn't damage the finish. Professional products specifically designed for hardwood may be a better choice for large or stubborn paint spots.
