Last winter we had our bathroom remodeled to more appropriately accommodate me in my recovery process and moving forward from several strokes. We had a rep come out to give us a quote based on what we wanted/would need and after some convincing and offering of discounts, we settled on a price and worked out a loan agreement to get it done. The project was to turn our bathtub in our main bathroom into a standing shower with a grab bar to allow for ease of entry and exit for myself, plus a wider vanity to allow for both myself and my wife to use the sink at the same time. We also opted to replace the flooring, which was tile, to a vinyl that became less cool and easy to walk on. We picked out the design and style with the rep who's name I don't remember, and set a date for everything to be done. The first issue after the fact that we noticed, was that the wrong vanity had been installed. When this issue was raised, the solution was to reimburse us for part of the installation because that seemed easier at the time. Fine. Everything else seemed to be ok, so we let it go and moved on. Fast forward to today, we had a drainage issue with that shower stall and called a plumber to address the issue. In the process of doing that, he discovered that the pipe for the shower drain, which had been moved from its original placement on the initial install, had not only been installed incorrectly, but had been sealed improperly and now that the seal has begun to erode away is causing a small (for now) leak. We now have a quote for an exploration into the problem where the other company will have to open up part of the celling in the basement in order to assess the issue and determine a correct fix. That this problem exists in the first place is unacceptable and we are frankly livid with the matter."

We got a few quotes and ultimately went with Homewise Remodelers because the price was reasonable and Miro was so thorough in walking us through our options. He helped us select cabinets and worked through several versions of the kitchen layout until we were happy with it--we were easily able to swap out cabinet layouts and finishings, like adding a farmhouse sink. His crew were reliable, on-time, and respectful of our property throughout the remodel and we appreciated their attention to detail. They solicited our input on decorative details and were quick to fix things we didn't like, e.g., the location of kitchen cabinet pulls. We felt they treated our home as they would their own. The project even wrapped up a few days early. We would absolutely recommend Homewise Remodelers and choose them for future projects."

"The painting went ok. The rug removal was done ok. While replacing the bath fan the ceiling was damaged around the fan. No one went into the attic to check the duct and we later found out the duct was not connected to the roof vent. The flooring was done too rushed and we have had to replace some boards. The stairs were a nightmare, spindles were cut crooked, nails sticking out, treads and risers cut on angles. We asked them to just stop work and leave, unfortunately we had paid them $5,000. They rushed thru the job because we were told they had a bigger job where they would make more money. We were told the stairs were so badly damaged they could not be salvaged. So far it has cost us $13,000 more to take out the old stairs, fix the flooring and the bath fan."

"John and team transformed our old bathroom shower into a modern “marble look” porcelain tile shower. His team started work quickly and adjusted hours to our schedule. The were extremely helpful providing design recommendations, quick to complete the project, worked cleanly/neatly throughout the project (no dust and debris anywhere), and were easy to work with. And, their price was the best of the three contractors I talked to. I would highly recommend John and his team. Our shower looks incredible, thanks to John’s quality work. I wish we had done this sooner."

"We were initially going to do the floors ourselves but decided to get a quote and we are very thankful we did. After one conversation with Danny it was clear that he was a professional and very knowledgeable in his trade. We have an older condo in Evanston, 3-story walk up, and Danny knew how to address the "quirks" that come with an older building. The refinished floors came out beautifully and were completed within our tight timeline. "Remodel went extremely well even with material delays (not ordered through Rowe construction.) They were able to pivot and work on different areas of this extensive remodel. This crew showed up every day and notified us if they were not going to come or if they were delayed.They also pointed out and/or were able to troubleshoot areas of design that wouldn’t look aesthetically pleasing. In addition, they cleaned up the interior each day and regularly picked up construction waste placed in the garage during this process."

"It could not have gone better. It was our first major remodel in 20 years and we're thrilled with the results. Bruce came to the house, surveyed the rooms, took detailed measurements and within days provided us with drawings and and a quote for their labor and general estimates on what fixtures might cost. We started this project in mid-March just as things started shutting down due to COVID-19. Sam, our Project Manager and his team (Bart, Mirek and Greg) were a pleasure to work with. Sam responded to all our emails and came by frequently to check the progress. The team showed up every day on time and wearing masks. The upstairs bathroom was a challenge due to the small size of the room and the pitch of the ceiling due to the roof. All the debris had to be carried down the stairs and through two rooms to get it out, yet it was done with a minimum of disturbance and mess. Instead of using a pre-formed shower pan, Mirek was able to expand the shower using custom framing. Greg built a custom sliding barn door to replace a door that was just two pieces of painted plywood. We are very happy with the final result. The powder room was again a challenge due to the small size and a linen closet that had been build under one staircase and on the backside of another. Mirek managed to completely re-frame the inside of the closet so that all the shelves were uniform height and depth. Again, we are very pleased with the final product. The main bath is another small room. Sam and his team had to correct a lot of issues from a decades old remodel. This included all new plumbing lines, re-enforcing the floor joists and a new sub-floor and proper venting of the ceiling exhaust fan. We chose combination of a jetted tub and dual shower heads controlled by a Kohler digital valve and a motion sensor vanity faucet. It was a complex installation and it all works perfectly. This room has been totally transformed. Sam put us in touch with Studio 41 in Lincolnwood as a source for the main fixtures where we purchased everything except the lighting fixtures and tile. It was a pleasure to work with Arthur at Studio 41 and I would highly recommend them as well. Additionally, as part of the remodel, Sam's team upgraded our home's main electrical panel and installed additional outlets in a bedroom and an enclosed front porch. They also installed 3 replacement doors that were not in the original scope, but made a huge cosmetic difference. We are completely happy with the service and quality of the work provided by Regency. If you are thinking of a bathroom remodel you should definitely give them a call."
