At the very first consultation site visit, Jerzy reviewed our request, our materials, and provided guidance and suggestions about how to best complete the job and, in fact, save us money and make our project look better than we originally envisioned! Contract terms were simple, more than fair, and straightforward. The whole team was courteous, punctual, and went out of their way to show great care and respect to our home and our day-to-day , as we work from home. Jose quoted me a single woman who owned a 2 flatt-me, $1200 to do this job in 3 days. He started right away and finished 32 thats thirty two days later. On day 2 he asked for 800 dollars more than he quoted for supplies after giving him 800 2 days before. Day 9 he asked for 200 dollars. day 29 he demanded full payment yelling at me in my kitchen. I told him not to intimidate me. I should have called the police, but I gave him the money. He bought up the plumbing in 2 days with a helper. He installed the vent in 2 days. He spent 8 -1/2 days painting 4 walls put kiltz primer not in the laundry area but, the part of the closet that was left.. 4 days painting the laundry area. He came each day consistently late as an agreed upon time from the prior day. When he was finished the edges were unfinished because I would not give him more money. He CUT THE DOOR DOWN on all 4 so all edges of a bifold door, sides then did it wrong and took it to his friend for him to do. Came back 4 days later. The dimensions were a simple 30'x80' for the opening, which he had off, the door is cockeyed. And he had to add another piece of wood because the top dementions were off the who entire time he said " I always" do a good job. I take no short cuts. For a job to cost more twice as much as the estimate and take 10 times longer, mostly by coming late and going to the store. This guy did a horrible horrible job. BEWARE

Called JB Construction Services to fix bathroom leaks on master and 2nd shower. This required a complete tear down and rebuild of both shower bars and tiles. The work was completed within a week with high quality. Would hire again.

ABOUT JB CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, INC.: Bottom-line, we highly recommend Jerzy and his company. Our bathroom was a complete remodel, stripped right down to the studs and built back again. The project took about 2 to 2.5 weeks to finish. I found Jerzy / Yurek (JB Construction Services, Inc.) via Angie's List in September 2017. I'd researched a few contractors and his company was among them. His quote was much lower than another firm's, and I was impressed with the amount of straight A's Jerzy received. Jerzy is a true professional who takes pride in his work. He ensures the details - wiring, plumbing, drywall, tile installation, etc. -- all of those elements get done right, at every phase. He's a good listener, hearing what you as the client want -- and then makes recommendations based on his experience. He strikes me as an honest, straightforward, decent man. He’s a down-to-earth, nice person. I've worked with previous contractors who were a little pretentious -- my humble house wasn't good enough for them. Jerzy was never like that. I’m a HGTV fanatic and while our home isn’t on the pricey North Shore, I still wanted high-end results. Jerzy and his team ensured that my family and I got exactly that – a gorgeous bathroom we’re proud of. ABOUT OUR BATHROOM PROJECT: We moved into our raised ranch home many moons ago and had our upstairs bathroom remodeled. Over time, the tiles became loose, particularly around the window. As a temporary fix, my husband duct-taped a garbage bag around the window in an effort to keep the water out. (My husband would duct-tape both me and the dog if he could, LOL) Of course, we worried what was going on behind the tile. Then the toilet seal wore down. The toilet began to "rock" when you sat on it, and this was a toilet, not a Lazy Boy rocker/recliner -- and that was it. Joe Miser (my budget-conscious spouse) agreed it was time to remodel. Fortunately, Jerzy's quote was very reasonable. He tore everything down to the studs, and you'll be able to see in the BEFORE photos the kind of water damage we had. I was anxious about mold and Jerzy properly treated it. He re-routed the plumbing to bring it up to code, and thereby ensured the sink would drain more properly, (which it now does). The electrical also needed to be re-done to bring it to code. As mentioned, he dealt with the mold, reframed the tub and window with fresh new lumber, replaced the walls where needed. I chose the tile at Floor & Décor and the paint color, (included with Jerzy’s quote) and he picked them up, along with grout and other materials. We deviated from the original quote a bit and paid extra on our own. We appreciated that flexibility. For example, I bought a “power-flush” Kohler toilet (not included with the quote), a toilet almost twice the cost of regular toilets. Ordered this beauty from Amazon and it shipped to us direct, and Jerzy installed it, no problem. This toilet helps eliminate the need for the dreadful bacteria-attracting plunger. So far, knock on ceramic, this toilet is doing its job and it scares the dog. I also researched for a larger than average medicine cabinet, a nice one with glass shelves. It weighs 65 lbs. and costs almost double what most standard cabinets do. We need to maximize storage space in our bathroom, so I spent where I needed, saved where I could. The medicine cabinet was not included with Jerzy’s quote. I told him it was heavy, he said “no problem,” and installed it. After the remodel was completed, I started to decorate and add those finishing touches. We’re thrilled with our new bathroom.

We did a complete kitchen renovation, replacing everything. If I had to describe the experience working with Jerzy and his crew in one word, it would be WOW! We could not be happier having Jerzy doing our kitchen. From the very beginning to the end he was available to assist and answer our questions and we had plenty of them. Everyone was very polite and courteous and you could tell that they cared about the job they were doing. We are already planning for him to do another project for us. If anyone is looking for the consummate person to work with Jerzy is the person.

It went fantastic! Jerzy is very good at his job, he makes sure he knows what you want and asks questions and offers suggestions to make you happy with the final project. I have never, in 20+ years of hiring contractors, had a contractor work so hard to make sure we are happy with the results! He was flexible in the many changes with threw at him, and exceeded our expectations! He is the right man for the job! I would recommend him to everyone!

We had a total of 3 quotes and we decided to go with JB Const. I could not be happier. I'm a perfectionist and was very satisfied in the end. Not only were their prices reasonable, but they were able to satisfy some of my requests that the other companies stated were impossible. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Not only for their good prices, but their skill as well. Friendly, professional and fair.

Jerzy was very conscientious and his work was fantastic. I could not be happier with the way all the items turned out. Everyone he used on my job worked hard to make sure everything was done well and they cleaned up their work area everyday before leaving. I trust his recommendations and his honest opinions. I look forward to using him again on my future projects.

I was referred to JB Construction by my kitchen designer (Basia) from Studio 41.  She had worked with Jerzy for several years and felt comfortable referring him.  I also looked at his reviews on Angies list and he had gotten all good reviews so I hired JB Construction.  In addition to meeting with Jerzy, I also met with a contractor my friend really liked. Both contractors priced the job fairly; however,  I felt Jerzy appeared much more calm, professional and responsive. These are very important traits when dealing with a contractor as I have heard many horror stories with contractors.  Also, kitchen  construction is very stressful with all your appliances removed and your items in boxes during the construction.  The faster the job is completed the better since your life is a little topsy turvy during the construction.

Jerzy was very responsive to my emails and calls before and during the construction.   His workers were very nice, clean and helpful. And by the way, they did a beautiful job! I added a few items to my project such as adding doors to a storage space, building shelves, miscellaneous plumbing issues and Jerzy priced these extras fairly.  He was very timely in completing  the base project as well as the add-ons.  I would totally recommend JB Construction to any of my friends as well as use this company for any future construction projects.

I couldn't be happier with the results.  For this remodel, the flooring, toilet, vanity, light fixtures, towel bars,
and mirror were replaced.  From the initial contact to completion of the work, Jerzy was professional, timely, and provided superior quality in the work.  As I started my project getting estimates immediately, Jerzy was someone I felt I could trust.  He provided me with several options that were quality and met within my budget.

My husband and I are so pleased with finding JB Construction.  Jerzy was pleasant to deal with and always made himself available when I had a question.
We have a big basement that needed new drywalling, including changing out a dropped ceiling and replacing it with drywall, a tired looking bar area that needed a facelift (new cabinetry and granite countertops), some cosmetic updates to our bathroom and replacing a big picture window with one that is more energy efficient.
Jerzy responded to our message right away and came over to give us an estimate.  We're planning on leaving our house  in a few years so we wanted to be careful on how much we wanted to spend and Jerzy was really good at helping us figure out what needed to be done aesthetically and prudently.  
HIs suggestions for the cabinets and granite were dead on and really enhanced the look of the basement.  He would always check with me on things that he wasn't sure of like the placing of lights, the look of the basement stairs and the granite placement on the countertops.  He had his guys move the placement of the pendant lights over the bar area because he didn't like the look of it and was always involved with the progress of the basement.
His crew were very courteous and hard working and when I added a couple of extra things to be done Jerzy's  answer was always yes and he got it all done.
 We have horrible electrical issues in our house and he and his crew took it in stride and figured it all out. 
He also included painting of the entire basement and bathroom and I was able to pick the paint colors from an array of choices.  All of this was done without destroying our carpet.  They laid plastic sheeting over all of it and they really cleaned everything up nicely when they were done.
As with any project there were some - but very few - issues that were unforeseen and amounted to less than 1% of entire cost.
We are so happy with Jerzy and JB Construction that we've asked him to take a look at some other projects in our house.

I am extremely happy with the work process and the way the bathroom turned out. Communication was great!  I felt very well-informed and was able to call,text, or meet with Jerzy in person whenever I had a question or wanted to know about additional work.  Jerzy and his crew were friendly and professional through out the entire process.  Jerzy met all the deadlines that we set, and he was very patient and flexible when there was a delay in the counter top that I ordered from somewhere else took a long time to come in.  Next time, I will do my ordering through Jerzy and his contacts!  As the project went on, I added several things to be done to the list and Jerzy and his crew were able to easily complete the work.  I will be using them again when I do any future renovations.  Thank you!

This isnt the first time we used JB Construction and as always, Yurek was prompt, professional and responsive. The price for the counter-tops was very competitive and we highly recommend JB Construction for home improvement / renovation projects.

Jerzy and his crew were a pleasure to work with.  I purchased a short sale home that had a laundry list of items that needed to be taken care of & they handled it all wonderfully.  Everyone was courteous & respectful.  I had hoped to have the work completed before we moved in but closing was delayed so we couldn't start until the day before the move.  At the end of each day they would clean up & haul away debris not leaving a trace of where they had been which made it much easier to live in a construction zone.  I'm looking forward to the quote for the next few projects I'm hoping to be able to have done & would definitely hire them again!

I found Yurek to be very professional, keeping the project on time and working with our schedule. He promptly answered all emails and took the time to discuss any issues that arose during the job. 
His crew was professional as well, always on time and always cleaning up their work area when they were finished for the day.

The service was great.  They are nice to work with.  A total of five or six people would come out depending on the work that needed to be done.  It took about four to five weeks to complete the job.   They did a good job cleaning up. I would say that they are friendly, courteous and reasonably priced.

Jerzy and his crew did a great job.  They first remodeled the kids bathroom which was all original and almost 30 years old.  They totally gutted the bathroom down to the studs, tore out the ceiling and the floor.  There was water damage to the walls around the tub which they took care of at what I thought was a reasonable cost.  They had to rip off the siding on the outside of the house, replace the outside wall, tyvek and studs.  Once that was completed they began the remodel by replacing all the drywall, put in a tub, tiled the tub area, and floor with natural stone, put in a new toilet, vanity and replaced the vent and ran it out to the soffits on the outside of the house, which was a new addition.  They also saved our old mirror, cut it to a smaller size and framed it with wood that matched our new vanity.
The master bathroom was also a complete gut but with no water damage.  The did all the same things as the kids bathroom except  they replaced the tub with a glass shower.  They built a seating area in the shower and also put in a niche for all the soap bottles. 
We were very happy with all the work that was performed, especially the tile work.  Well done, paid attention to the details and did a class A job.  Whenever there were any questions on how we would want things done Jerzy always gave us options, shared the pros and cons of each option and completed the job as we asked of him.   Jerzy was always responsive to my concerns and handled all of my requests as I asked with courtesy and  professionalism.
We are very pleased with the way both bathrooms turned out!

This was the third time we used JB Construction for a major home remodeling (this time repair) job in the last two years. We had a burst water pipe that damaged half of our home. I called Jerzy that evening, and he had someone at my house at 7 AM the next day to repair the plumbing. He then worked under the timeline and restraints that our insurance company set in place with no complaints. This job had a wide scope, and they were able to get our house into great shape. Very easy to work with, and fair pricing. We will definitely use JB Construction again for future projects. We recommend JB Construction very highly.

It went well.  He identified that what I wanted done was from a grieving response more than a constructive response.  He supported my decision to hold off on doing any work at that time, work that did not need to be done.  I truly appreciated his insight and honesty.
