"Jason was very prompt with reaching out to me and getting his team out to my home to start the build of my fence. I only had 16 or so feet of fence and Jason was able to get me in within a week of agreeing to work together on this project which was incredible compared to the timelines I heard from some other competitors. (10 weeks out, 11 weeks out, 14 weeks out?!) They weâ re able to come one morning and did an outstanding job closing off the sides of my home and now my dog can finally have a closed in backyard to himself. I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a quick, easy, and painless install with outstanding follow up and customer service! -Ryan A"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Posts for a horizontal fence should be no more than 6 feet apart. Wood pickets are not as strong when mounted horizontally as when mounted vertically. As such, the fence panels on a horizontal fence can’t cover the same span between posts as a vertical fence can. If you install the posts further apart on a horizontal fence, the fence will lose stability, making the boards more likely to sag.

A board on board fence is a type of privacy fence that uses overlapping vertical boards to keep onlookers from seeing into the fenced yard. Typically made of wood, board on board fences are more expensive than other privacy fences because they use more materials and require more complex construction.

Wood, vinyl, chain link, and aluminum are common materials. Choose based on durability, maintenance needs, and aesthetics.

While it’s possible to remove a fence post with a truck and requires little physical effort, we don’t recommend this method. You can potentially hurt others or yourself or damage your property or vehicle attempting to take a fence post out with a truck. Instead, use a farm jack or a pole puller to remove the post.

Yes, fence posts need to be installed below the frost line to ensure stability and prevent heaving caused by freezing and thawing cycles. The frost line is the depth at which soil freezes during winter. By placing posts below this line, often around 3 to 4 feet deep or as recommended for your specific region, you reduce the risk of the ground shifting, which can lead to leaning or unstable fences. Adequate depth provides better anchoring and helps maintain the fence's integrity, ensuring it remains secure and upright throughout changing seasons.
