"Rogelio and the team were excellent and very professional. They were able to make it out in one day and complete the asbestos removal within a few hours. Every step of the process was explained to me first and I was given a chance to safely check on the progress along the way. Cost was very reasonable."

"Four Elements Environmental was extremely prompt replying to my messages and was able to work with my schedule to setup a lead paint and dust inspection. Mark conducted an extremely thorough inspection, and found lead in a few places I never would have noticed on my own. Four Elements pricing was reasonable, and the report assembled after the inspection was extremely detailed and helpful. I highly recommend Four Elements Environmental!"

"Mick called to notify me when he would be arriving.  He arrived at the agreed upon time.  He introduced himself and asked what I wanted done.  I told Mick that I would like an outside outlet installed near the front door.  The house has siding and he explained that a new outlet would involve removing and replacing the siding.  I asked if he would inspect an existing outlet on the garage that was not functioning.  He verified the GFCI did not function and wouldn't reset.  Mick removed the outlet and checked that there was power.  I agreed to replacing the outlet.  I appreciated that the coupon could be used for the repair.  I incurred no additional charge.
He did suggest that if I wanted an outlet near the front door,  he could replace an existing switch with an outlet.  Another option would be to replace an existing lamp post (that I do not like) with a different style with an outlet.  I am unable to do so at this time, however he informed me that Sound Construction, Inc. frequently offers a coupon, 2 hrs. for $99.00.  Mick was friendly and explained my options.

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.

Results from professional lead testing are typically available within a few days to a week (2-7 days), depending on factors like laboratory processing times and the volume of samples being analyzed. Expedited services may also be available for urgent situations.

Some causes of brown well water—like excess tannins or dissolved iron—don’t pose a health risk. In other cases, harmful bacteria might be the culprit. If your well water has suddenly turned brown, it’s a good idea to use a home water test kit to get a better sense of what’s going on with your water. Consider calling a professional for an expert opinion before drinking the water and hoping for the best.

Lead testing in residential properties involves collecting samples from paint, dust, soil, or plumbing and analyzing them in certified laboratories to accurately identify lead levels.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.
