"I am located in Kansas City and needed a contractor to fix a drain at a real estate property I am responsible for in Illinois. Without me being onsite AKDK held communication, followed through with preliminary asks, gave me a reasonable quote, and kept up with our office process and was a pleasure to work with the entire way though. Thank you kindly. I was concerned about being so far away and these types of things can quickly go sour. But he restored my trust and got the job done in excellent fashion."

"Jordan and his team worked tirelessly for 7 hours and left our property looking picture perfect. Because we'd had so much rain recently, all of the beds were chock full of weeds, which they removed. they did a beautiful job of edging and of trimming all of our bushes. They also provided and spread a very good quality mulch. Before they came, I looked out at my property and felt overwhelmed at the amount of work it needed. Now my mind is at peace. And to top it off, the price was very fair."

"A friend recommended Titan to me for a small excavating job I needed done at my commercial property. I worked with Brian on the project and everything went flawlessly. They showed up on time and did a great job. I was very impressed with the clean up after they finished. Since then, I signed a snow plowing contract to plow all of my properties."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Digging out a basement takes anywhere from a few days to a few months. Most projects take at least two to five weeks, but it could take several months if you encounter obstacles. This project takes longer if you need to brace or raise your home before the excavation. Digging out a basement in new construction can take as little as three days.

Preparation involves site assessment, clearing debris, grading surfaces, and compacting soil to support stable construction.

Call 811 to locate and mark the gas lines at least three days before digging. In many areas, you can dig within 18 inches of the lines, though in some locations, the distance may be further. Check local regulations, as you may need a utility company representative onsite when digging. Document your calls to 811 and precautions taken to avoid gas lines. A homeowner can be held liable for hitting a gas line in some cases, but contacting the proper authorities and following all guidelines can offer protection.

Digging a well can cost between $20 and $25,000, depending on your needs. If you’re looking to dig a well yourself, all you need is a shovel. If you’re looking to have a well drilled by a professional, you can expect to pay around $15 to $30 per foot. The total cost of drilling a well will average to $5,500.

To drill a shallow well, you may be able to use a drive well point. This is a tapered point that is driven into the ground. A drill bit at the end of PVC pipe may be another option to consider. A lot of the cost depends on what tools are available near you.
