"Marcos was friendly and fast, and flexible in scheduling. He and his crew did a great job for us in removing asbestos tiles from our basement flooring so we could have interior drain tiling installed. In the process, they also discovered some mold, which they were able to deal with at the same time. He came with a large crew, so they finished a large job very quickly. The space was well cleaned afterwards, and we received the necessary clearances. Highly recommend."

"The body was found during a police wellness check. CSI was called by the local police department to transport the body. Once that was done, the floorboards of the room where the deceased was located needed to be removed and a bio-hazard barrier applied to the room. All of the clothing, bedding, towels, mattresses, cloth-covered furniture, window treatments, etc. had to be removed from the entire house. Walls and remaining furniture had to be sanitized. Floorboards were replaced and new carpeting installed. The only reason I didn't give them an A on Punctuality is because the work took longer than I expected. Warning to make sure everything you want to keep is on their written list. I "lost" things I thought were on the list, but with the chaos of the death, etc. they never got onto the list."

"Unless you are 100 percent sure you are doing business with this company, do not let them even do an estimate. My basement flooded, they came to my house to do an estimate. NO work was done and they charged me 1000 dollars. They stated I signed paperwork promising I would use their company and that money would go towards the work. In the midst of chaos, this very well may have happened and I take blame for not reading fine print, but it was not explained properly. When you have something happen to you home, you rely on these companies and insurance to help, not to take advantage. Such a gross company to take advantage of people during these times. Their excuse was that the 1000 dollars was to cover all the hard work the estimate took. As if they don't get paid hourly already. Just beware of this company and read, read, read before you sign. I would hate for anyone to have to lose money like I did"

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Use rugs in high-traffic areas, immediately clean up spills, and do regular dust mopping.

Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.

In general, yes, it's worth repairing an appliance over replacing it. If the repair will give you more years of reliable service from the oven and the repair costs less than buying a comparable new model, then yes, get it repaired. If, on the other hand, the oven is reaching the end of its life and needs a costly repair, you're likely better off buying a new oven.

No. Once you apply refinishing oil, it will continue to seep into the wood, making it difficult or impossible to refinish over top of it. Since the product contains an oil that’s meant to penetrate existing finishes, almost anything you put on top of it will bring the previous layer of stain with it. If you plan to refinish your cabinets more than once, it’s a good idea to go with the traditional method of sanding before applying a new finish to the surface.

Appliances that are smudge-proof stainless steel have a protective clear coating that makes them smudge-proof. Unfortunately, you can’t truly remove a scratch on this surface without also removing that special coating. Your best bet is to let the scratch be or protect it with a small dab of clear nail polish.

You can risk the option of buffing out the scratches, and be very diligent in coating the area you buffed with oil to reduce the dullness. Just know that if you choose to buff it out, there’s a possibility that the spot won’t look the same as the rest of the appliance.
