"Elite did a amazing job on my house. The gutters and fascia was falling off on two side of the house. When John, the owner of the business, came and gave me an estimate he explained what he felt needed to be done. He explained how my old smaller gutters were not doing the job of getting the water away from the house. He listened to my concerns and we both came to an agreeable price. When the crew came to start the job i was not here but they got to work getting all my old gutters and fascia off. It was discovered the alot of the wood behind the fascia was worn out. They replaced the wood that was needed and had the job complete in two days. It looks amazing and i cant say enough how they did a wonderful job and i would recommend them to anybody that needs kind of repair fascia and replacement of gutters . There web site shows many things they do and would recommend there company for anything you need done"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Unless you've chosen to install underground downspouts, your gutter downspouts shouldn't touch the ground. If they come into contact with the soil or pavement next to your home, rainwater can back up into them during a storm, preventing them from doing their job effectively. Instead, aim to have your downspouts end about 12 inches from the ground.

When it comes to which gutter material is better, the choice really boils down to what you're looking for in a gutter system. If saving money is the most important factor, then your best option is to go for aluminum gutters. If longevity and durability are more important to you, then copper gutters could be the best fit. If you want to customize the color of your gutters, aluminum takes the cake, but if you're looking for a more natural appearance, copper might be a better choice.

Minor repairs like sealing small leaks or cleaning debris are DIY-friendly, but professional repairs ensure long-term stability and proper drainage.

If your gutters get overwhelmed every time it rains, adding an extra downspout is a solution. First, you'll need to decide where to add the downspout. If your current setup only has a single downspout, one option is to place a new one at the opposite end of the gutter. If you already have a downspout at each end, adding a third one in the middle can help to lighten the load.

You can hire a professional to add a downspout yourself by cutting into the existing gutter and attaching the necessary parts, such as an outlet and brackets.

Most homes will sustain water damage without gutters. When a home doesn't have gutters, water that runs off the roof will splash down to the ground to create foundation damage, rotting trim, rotting fascia, and soil erosion. A broken or compromised gutter system can be just as damaging as having no gutters. That's why it's essential to talk to roofing pros about how to fix gutters pulling away from house as soon as you notice an issue.
