"Elite did a amazing job on my house. The gutters and fascia was falling off on two side of the house. When John, the owner of the business, came and gave me an estimate he explained what he felt needed to be done. He explained how my old smaller gutters were not doing the job of getting the water away from the house. He listened to my concerns and we both came to an agreeable price. When the crew came to start the job i was not here but they got to work getting all my old gutters and fascia off. It was discovered the alot of the wood behind the fascia was worn out. They replaced the wood that was needed and had the job complete in two days. It looks amazing and i cant say enough how they did a wonderful job and i would recommend them to anybody that needs kind of repair fascia and replacement of gutters . There web site shows many things they do and would recommend there company for anything you need done"

Customers say: True professional

"They did a great job replacing a length of gutter and installing a new downspout. I had storm damage to the gutter and it had to be replaced. I had a new downspout installed to aid in the overall drainage. After finishing the work, they cleaned all the gutters, reinstalled the leaf screens that had come off during the storm, and cleaned the roof. The installer (owner) was very friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. I would recommend his services and hire him again, if needed. I thought the cost was reasonable."

"I hired tristate seamless gutters because they came out to give me an estimate on the scheduled day, at the scheduled time and were very friendly and professional. Also, before I made my decision to hire them, I received a letter thanking me for the opportunity for them to come to my home and bid the job. Who does that anymore. They were great and I would recommend them to anyone and do to all my neighbors"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

With routine maintenance, gutters don’t usually need to be replaced for 20 years, but there are warning signs that they might need early replacement. Signs that your gutters need to be replaced include sagging, visible cracks or holes, peeling paint, rust, standing water in your gutter, and water leaking into your basement. Pushing off replacing your gutters can lead to extensive damage to both the interior and exterior of your home. Regular maintenance can help your gutters last all 20 years — and sometimes, even longer.

Frequently, when water flows over gutters, it indicates a potential clog, necessitating cleaning. For instance, if a twig becomes lodged in the downspout, it can lead to a traffic jam, causing more leaves and sticks to accumulate. Another potential issue is an incorrect pitch, as gutters should channel water toward the downspout. If you observe water overflowing the end cap or leaking through it, it suggests that your gutters are improperly tilted.

Once you’ve installed your gutters, you'll need to maintain them. You should clean your gutters once or twice a year to keep them functioning correctly. But if climbing a ladder and scooping out handfuls of wet leaf gunk is just not your thing, you can hire a professional gutter cleaner near you to do the job.

The best way to seal gutters is with a combination of waterproof roofing cement and silicone gutter sealant. This powerful duo works to prevent water from escaping through holes and cracks while allowing for breathability. While you can use polyurethane sealants, silicone sealants tend to be more flexible when it comes to climate. Silicone is UV-resistant and bonds well to many surfaces. However, polyurethane sealant bonds better with wood.

The gutter gauge is a measurement of the thickness of the gutter material. If you have gutters that are too thick and heavy for the screws and brackets holding them in place, they may sag. Materials that are too thin could suffer damage that leads to sagging. A professional gutter installer can ensure you have the right gutter gauge.
