Here at S&S construction we do it all! Concrete sidewalks, driveways, patios, fence repair, installation, seal, stain,&paint. decking, pressure washing, gutters, siding & roofing! Fair priced quality work. If you got a dime we got the time No job to small or big

"Would give 0 stats if I could! Stay away from Tim. Quoted us for a fence with 2 gates as we wanted, showed up a week later with only one because he forgot. Due to supply shortage he couldn't get another one and the one he had was cracked anyway. So here we are October when the fence was done in May, being ghosted when all we want is the money for the gates and labor costs refunded. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but now not being answered is the last straw."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

Asphalt driveways last anywhere from 15 to 30 years, but if you don’t stay on top of repairs, you may find yourself spending extra to replace your driveway before its typical lifespan. Stay on top of repairing cracks and potholes by routinely inspecting your driveway once or twice a year. It’s a good idea to pressure wash your asphalt driveway at least once a year to keep it clean. Apply a sealer every one to five years, based on your climate.

On average, asphalt dries within 24 to 72 hours, meaning it’s solid enough for light traffic—walking and careful driving. Full curing—when asphalt reaches peak strength—can take anywhere from three months to a year. During that time, heavy loads and sharp objects can leave marks. Weather, asphalt mix, and thickness all affect how quickly it dries and cures. If you want your asphalt to last, treat it gently until it’s fully cured. For the best results, check with a professional asphalt contractor for their advice.

Asphalt is made of aggregate materials (sand, rocks, and gravel) and bitumen, a viscous, petroleum-based, waterproof substance. These materials are mixed together at extremely high temperatures to form asphalt.

A properly applied sealcoat should last between two to five years, but we advise having your driveway resealed every two to three years to give it optimal protection. If you live somewhere with extreme weather, plan to reseal your driveway every two years—heavy rainfall and freezing temperatures can deteriorate the sealant quickly.

Yes, it’s possible to seal your driveway too much. Whether you have an asphalt or concrete driveway, sealing it every year opens your driveway to potential damage. Sealing an asphalt driveway annually may cause the seal to crack and peel even more. It may even trap oils within the asphalt that can leave you driving on a soft driveway. Avoid sealing your concrete driveway too much to prevent the concrete from cracking. If water enters these cracks, it can freeze, expand, and cause the cracks to worsen.
