The work crew showed up on both days (day 1 - removal old driveway/installing gravel base; day 2: asphalt paving) super punctual at the agreed times. Professional and friendly crew members, very organized, clean work, no mess, and the final result (new driveway) looks great. The agreed total cost is very competitive and worth every dollar. "Ken, who owns this business, has a lot of integrity. I hired him initially to mortar and Tuckpoint my chimney and the brick on the front of my home. I had a bit of water leakage in my basement and felt it was because of the missing mortar (now, no leaks). Not only did he do an excellent job on that (matching color and style), but he found defects with the way my recent HVAC had been installed and mortared the open clay flue to the furnace. He installed a liner into my furnace flue for a very reasonable price and stuck to that price for stainless steel, even though he ran into obstructions that caused him to have to open up the brick wall, in the basement behind the fp, to chip out the flue obstructions. He then closed the wall, and rebricked and mortared it, matching the original brick. He tied that furnace and hot water heater into the new ss lined flue. It's much safer! When I could see how well he works with brick, I tested his skills on cement, and he took my front cement porch, drilled out imperfections, filled cracks and built me a step to the front porch that had become a big step up. He also built me a cement step into the house from the garage (wooden step was decaying) and an additional step on a side door small stoop that had sunk. Not having to replace this cement work saved me thousands in cost. Ken also filled a significant opening into my garage from the outside connected to cement failure on a side floor/bottom of wall on both the outside and inside. He is incredibly dedicated to getting the job done in a way that satisfies the customer. Ken is rare in that he treats your home as if it's his and tries to give 120% to make it safe from carbon monoxide leaks and leakproof from water. It's not that common to find high integrity and low cost in the trades. I found him secretly mortaring a bottom side to my chimney, under the dirt, with black mortar, because he found a small opening left by the original builder. WOW."

"We contracted with Ignacio to install epoxy on our new basement floor after receiving a recommendation from Angie’s List. After talking to him on the phone and other contractors, we decided to move forward as he seemed knowledgeable, responsive, polite and eager to get started. As he requested, we paid half upfront, and funny enough, that’s when things started to change. He was very flaky in communicating with us, late to appointments and never delivered on floor samples he promised us. He also told us he would sand before applying the top coat, then made an excuse on why he skipped sanding altogether. Ignacio completed the work and we paid him the other half of the project. After the floors cured, we went downstairs to enjoy our new floors and were very disappointed with the quality of his workmanship. There was loose sediment that he didn’t bother to vacuum and just epoxied over it. Some of the epoxy was disturbed before curing and left permanent imperfections in the finish. Multiple of Ignacio’s hairs were left visibly sealed into the floor. Multiple bubbles were scattered throughout. Some of the epoxy was mixed incorrectly leaving parts of the floor permanently sticky. I called Ignacio asking him to come back and repair his poor workmanship. He became extremely defensive and belligerent, making excuses for his shoddy work. He eventually agreed to return and make repairs but refused to schedule a time. He kept repeating, “I’m busy. I’ll let you know when I can come back”. Weeks pass with no word from him. I contacted him again asking when he is going to come back. He continued on with his belligerent responses saying he’ll let me know but refused to actually schedule a time for him to come back, then hung up on me. It was at this point it occurred to me that he wasn’t going to come back. Funny enough, there are two other reviews on Angies List that pretty much mirror my experience. Shame on Angie’s list for recommending Ignacio and shame on me for not doing my due diligence. Stay away from Ignacio. He’s a fraud contractor that does not stand behind his work."
