Chris was very attentive and involved in the project start to finish. His crew were great and they amazingly kept the yard clean, didn't destroy the grass hauling a few tons of stone to the back. You don't think about stuff like that, but I've had other companies destroy the lawn - not these guys! What was once a huge eye sore is now a focal point in the yard.

Steve was awesome - he was very attentive to all of the details and extremely responsive throughout the process. He was the only contractor who responded thoughtfully and spent a lot of time on the design. He always got right back and followed through with everything we discussed - no surprises. I felt very comfortable with him the whole way through - great to find a landscape contractor you can trust and who actually responds in a timely manner! Great work all around.

We had our twenty year old landscaping torn out and beautiful, low maintenance landscaping installed. The employees worked very hard. They were meticulous in cleaning everything up. The prices are reasonable and with good quality. They did a beautiful job on the bullet edging. Chris is very quick at responding. I would hire Hook's Landscaping again and would recommend them. Steve and his crew were great. We needed the walls moved to widen the driveway in the future. Steve looked at the job made some suggestions and provided a very good price. Work was all done in one day. Old walls removed, dirt removed and new walls put up. They even put in sod where dirt would have been showing. The new walls look great. Very professional looking. We would use them again.

Chris came out the same week he was called! His immediate response was a pleasure! I explained to him what I wanted: new paver patio, paver walkway in front and side of house, and new landscaping surrounding the house. He did a spectacular job, and I cannot say enough about his professional attitude, desire to do an excellent job, and his response to what I wanted. He made some positive suggestions along the way: even out one side of the lawn by adding soil and sod. It proved to be a great addition to the whole landscape. His workers were professional, trustworthy, and Chris's desire to do a great job was reflected in his workers. They were all great! The men were here on time and didn't leave until that part of the job was completed! They were here for two weeks, with Chris on site almost every day, and they worked consistently with only a lunch break. Chris's design and business experience proved to be a great combination for us to work with. This was a big job for us, but the final result was absolutely beautiful! I will work with him again!

Pictures speak louder than words. "Before" and "after" pictures are attached. We have been homeowners for 40+ years. We have had good and bad experiences with contractors. Our experience with Hook's was excellent. Chris came out shortly after we called him. He emailed an estimate that evening. Chris gave us a "start" date. On the morning of that day, Chris' team was at our house, early in the morning, with all of their equipment. Our house is 50 years old. As you can see in the "before" picture, our porch and sidewalk were in dire need of a face lift. We did not want to have a concrete porch. Chris' team removed the concrete walkway and the planter box. They installed pavers over the existing porch, a curved, paver walkway, a new planter box and a 19' retainer wall on the east side of our driveway. They also installed a PVC drain off the gutter and under the walkway.. We have a corner house and were tired of replacing sod on the corner, from cars and snowplows running over it. Cobblestones were installed, set into limestone screenings. The retaining wall in our back yard was crumbling. They installed a new wall. Chris and his team were very professional, proficient, punctual and personable - something that you look for in a contractor. We are very pleased with the work that was done and have received many compliments from neighbors and friends.

Chris and his team are excellent! We had a large project at hand and after calling several contractors, Chris called me to set up an appointment while others were delayed or did not call at all. Chris was prompt with his quote and offered suggestions to help streamline the process. We had several contractors to work (plumbers and foundation repair) with and Chris offered to take the lead so not to miss anything. He was on the job with his crew and stayed in touch with us throughout the process. Our patio looks great and even after install, Chris checks in to ensure nothing was missed. His quality is excellent and his quote was reasonable. He is very organized with his crew and is clear on expectations. Without hesitation, Hooks Landscaping is the only company to use when considering large or small patio projects. The paver patio and workmanship is excellent!

I would definitely recommend Hooks! Very professional and responsive. Actually listened to our wish list and offered insights as to what would work and why or why not. The crew was on time and professional. Often times, I could hear them singing and laughing while they worked. That told me that they enjoyed what they were doing. They did an amazing job and look forward to working with them in the future.

Apparently the landscaping business is booming, but their customer service is not, if you don't want a job, or not willing to do the work at least have the professionalism to contact the prson back who pays for membership to this site.

There was no charge for the estimate. They were fabulous, to be honest. I didn't want to spend the money and I was willing to do it myself. I think they would have done a good job, for sure.

Great! We can see the front of our townhouse. It is so clean and refreshing to see how beautiful the landscaping can make your house look.

Landscaping companies in this area are notorious for not replying to, or following up on projects. This was a small project and Hook's seemed busy but they gave a prompt estimate, worked around some travel time of ours, and came promptly as scheduled. They were very professional, thorough, and checked back regularly to make sure things were as we wanted them. Their project manager researched more than a dozen flagstone types to make the best match to existing stone. The price was very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent. We were kept informed on date work to be started and it was done in a timely manner. They were very professional and mulching and bust trimming was done perfectly. I would recommend them for quality of work and keeping us informed . Pricing was also very competitive and worth every penny.

Chris was very informative and helpful on making decisions with us. He came out and looked at the job and gave us a quote within a couple days, and then a few days before the job started to go over our decisions again. His crew were very nice and hard workers. Our job took 2 days to complete. They showed up early both days and accommodated our last minute requests with no problem. I would and will use Hook's again.

Awesome! This project was a complete re-do of our back yard -- it was a mess, just mud, weeds, holes and dead sod. During our first meeting, Chris took pictures of our back yard. He then used this really cool program to generate an actual 3-D visual of exactly how the landscaping would look. He also actually listened (and understood) what we wanted to do. Other companies will either charge you for doing the design, just draw it 2D, or not give you anything at all, then expect you to fork over $10-20k with fingers crossed they'll get it right. We've done a lot of big landscaping projects over the years, and have seen it all -- Hooks has, hands down, been the best experience of them all. Chris was on-site for most of the work, and the landscapers were all friendly and worked really, really hard. Now, our yard is just gorgeous & we couldn't be happier! We can't wait to have them back to do more work:)

I liked the woman who came out for the estimate. She was earlier which was fine with me and gave me great information.

Cathy was great, she came out the same day I called and walked the yard with me making suggestions. Her advice and expertise was so appreciated. It is clear that Hook's is a company that operates ethically. She was more interested in finding the best solutions rather than in pushing an expensive maintenance plan. I highly recommend Hook's and look forward to calling them when we settle in our new home!

Went OK - I would have expected the mulch to be deeper considering what I paid.

They were very friendly, very clean and did very nice work. There was maybe four workers and it took them about three hours.

Price was fair and work was excellent. Unlike other landscapers we hired in the pass, the contractor stayed with the crew to make sure everything was done correctly. Old mulch was removed and new mulch was placed neatly through out the yard. We were so happy we are going to hire them again next year.
