"Wow, where do i start? I came to them for replacement storm windows. They charged $125 for the estimate. They guys they sent out smelled like cigarettes and booze. OK - lets see the estimate right? Well they didn't get me an estimate for weeks. I had to call several times. When I finally got the estimate i asked to see a sample of the windows or at least a brochure. I also asked about certain window features that were important to me. They said Monica (I think was her name) would call back. She never did. I called several times and got the same response. NOTHING. NO CALLS BACK. I visited 3 times to see i I could talk to someone besides the clueless front desk guy. NOTHING. The guy at the front desk kept going behind a curtain and telling me that I would get a call back. NOTHING. I have never tried so hard to spend my money somewhere. I finally quit trying and sent an email asking for my estimate fee to be refunded and they IMMEDIATELY responded and said they wouldn't because they already sent me an estimate. SMH? I finally went to Evergreen Windows and have been blown away by their service. These people at Blaine's are clueless."

The cost to install an egress window is $3,900 on average. This cost can be as low as $2,500 or as high as $5,300, depending on the window size, the number of egress windows installed, and the glass quality.
Double-pane windows average between $200 and $500 per window, whereas single-pane windows are more cost-effective at $100 to $400. More luxurious triple-pane windows are more expensive, ranging from $300 to $800 on average.
It can take up to three days to install an egress window. The window installation team will typically spend the first two days excavating the land where the window will go. If you’re replacing an egress window, it will be spent cutting the foundational wall to accommodate the window, if needed. Often, a window inspection is required to verify that the window was sized and installed correctly.
An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.
Not only does an egress window add value to your home, but it’s also a basement requirement in most areas. Egress windows offer a 70% return on investment, making them a worthwhile purchase and installation. In addition, most building codes require an egress window to be used as an emergency exit and entrance. Therefore, it is a necessary addition to meet building codes.
There are a few ways to save money on egress window installation. First, choosing pre-fabricated windows instead of custom windows can help dramatically reduce the overall cost. In addition, skipping window extras, like customized frames or window film, can help save money on the price tag without sacrificing the window itself. You should also shop around to multiple window installers to find the best installation deal without sacrificing the quality of the window.
