"I have been using Flor's Cleaning Services for nearly 15 years. During that time, my wife and I moved from a smaller condo to a larger home and had a couple of kids. During all that time, we have never had a problem with Flor's. Not once. The cleaners show up on time, they do a great job, end of story. Once in a while over the years, we have had to hire another cleaning service due to unexpected scheduling issues on our part. These cleaners have been fine, but never as good as what we get from Flor's. I think one reason Flor's is so great is that the proprietors focus on hiring quality people and they retain them. In fact, they won't take on more business unless they know they have the quality cleaners to do the work. Thank you, Flor's Cleaning, for your unswerving commitment to quality!"

Small jobs welcome

"They're always on time. They are reliable. She cleans like your mother cleaned. Wouldn't trade them in for anything. Where else would you find someone to wash your floors on their hands and knees? I recommend her to anyone else I know who is looking for a great cleaning service."

"I'm only giving 3 stars because the couple who came to clean were very nice and they did a good job overall. They took much longer than I'm used to given my condo size but since it was their first time here, I didn't mind paying a little extra. My rating mostly applies to the horrible professionalism (or lack thereof) from management. Gary was responsive before my appointment. The day of my appointment and thereafter, he's been nonresponsive. When I finally got in touch with him, he was rude and unprofessional with no accountability displayed for not responding. I was going to hire them for regular service but that phone call changed my mind. I like to work with friendly businesses and professional attitudes. This is not it! I would hire the couple who cleaned but not via this business. They couldn't even produce a simple receipt until I followed up several times. Gary should treat his customers better!"

Garage Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

The life span of a newly painted garage door depends on the quality of your paint, the material of the door, and the climate you live in. If you’re confident that you’ll maintain the door as best you can, you can expect the job to last between 5 and 10 years.

The style of the garage door that's best for you depends more on your needs. Are you driving in and out of the garage daily, or are you just storing tools and holiday decor there? For regular use, you'll want a door that is easy to operate and durable. If you only wish to use the garage for storage, go for a less expensive style or one that maximizes curb appeal over functionality.

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

The most common garage door material is aluminum, but the best material for you depends on your budget and location. Wood is the most expensive to repair but tends to add the most curb appeal, while fiberglass or composite doors cost less to fix.

Aluminum won’t rust, so it’s a great option if you live somewhere humid or rainy. Steel doors are durable but are prone to rust. If you live somewhere with extreme temperatures, hot or cold, you might opt for fiberglass, which won’t split if the temperatures skyrocket or drop below freezing.

It’s possible to use a torch to melt ice on your garage door, but we don’t recommend it. It’s very easy to bring the flame too close to the door, which can melt the weather stripping or even the garage door itself. You’ll melt ice quickly with a torch, but the damage you’re likely to cause can end up costing you a few hundred dollars to fix, which isn’t worth it. Instead, we recommend pouring hot water over the frozen area or using a less intense heat source, like a hair dryer or space heater.
