"I started out ambitiously with designing a home-run cabling system for both coaxial needs and networking needs in a wiring-challenged older home that I recently purchased.  Kirk came out and gave me a quote based on my requirements and it was way over my budget (but inline with other bids I had gotten).  He worked with me on modifying the bid based on my budget and my revised requirements.  Their final price wasn't the best, but pretty much in range with others.  I was comfortable with Kirk's competence which gave me the confidence that the work was to be done right which is important as you would want to do this type of work hopefully only once.  Once the plan was set, parts were ordered, and Kirk came with Antonio on the day of the work and got him going.  Antonio did most of the work (drywall cuts, fishing wires, connecting the homer-run wiring panel) for the next day and half with another helper, and cleaned up very well after all were said and done.  They also meticulously kept the drywall cutouts  with numerical markings so that when I did the patching afterwards, it was very easy to do.  My only qualm was that the cat5e cabling left at the utilities room where cable companies' cables come into the house were left unfinished without dongles, so I ended up having to put them on myself, which required special crimping tool I had to purchase myself.  Not a big deal as I know what needs to be done, but for a laymen, it may be a tad difficult."

"He said to me, don't focus on the wiring just watch the TV instead. I waited three days later, went to Home Depot and purchase a white stick post and just layed it over the wirer because he nailed and tacked everything to the wall. Its working out, that's how it's going."

Home Automation questions, answered by experts

While LVP won’t increase home value as much as engineered hardwood, it can increase the value somewhat because it creates a warm and inviting aesthetic. It’s also durable and waterproof, so it can be appealing to homebuyers with pets and children. LVP is very low-maintenance, so that can also appeal to homebuyers who don’t want to spend a lot of time keeping up with an engineered or solid hardwood floor.

A fireplace can increase a home's value by as much as 12%, with some reports indicating that homes with fireplaces list for around 13% more than the median sale price. Fireplaces are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, adding a charm that many homebuyers find desirable. The actual return on investment depends on the fireplace's size, type, and material.

However, a fireplace can detract from a property's value if it is unusable, not up to code, or in need of immediate repairs. The type of fireplace also matters; custom electric fireplaces and inserts can add value, while freestanding units that can be removed have less impact.

In most cases, selling a home in as-is condition will lead to a sale price that’s somewhere between 10% and 30% lower than normal. However, it’s often worthwhile to sell at a loss because the alternative would be to pay for the repairs yourself, which could end up costing you more. Even if they didn’t, selling as-is saves you from the time and energy you’d spend coordinating the repairs.

Keep it clutter-free, ensure bright lighting, and follow staging recommendations to maintain visual appeal.

The average cost to stage a home is around $1,800, with most sellers paying between $800 and $2,800 for professional services. However, the total cost can vary significantly, ranging from $500-$600 for an initial consultation to $5,000 or more for comprehensive, full-home staging.

The final price depends on several factors, including the home's size, location, and condition, as well as the number of rooms being staged. Other key cost drivers include whether you need to rent furniture, the quality of the decor, the stager's experience, and the duration of the staging services. The scope of the project also plays a role, from virtual staging and simple decluttering to full-service design, which may involve repairs and maintenance.
