"Jason, my installer, did an amazing job. He was a nice guy and made sure he was careful in my home. The shower looks amazing and I tend to find any flaw with things but this installation is perfect. The entire experience with Bath Fitter was great. The initial sales meeting was smooth, and I was amazed at the price. I will recommend them for anyone who wants a new shower!"

"Savana has been such an amazing person to talk to and receive information from about windows. We never knew there was so much that goes into a window and itâ s install and she gave us all her knowledge. We werenâ t sure if we wanted new windows yet but she made us feel so much better about getting them sooner. She has honestly been such an awesome person to talk to and spend 5 hours with! It wasnâ t all just about windows and bathtubs we got to know her and her company. Weâ re excited to have new windows for the winter and not learn what winter is like with 90 year old windows. And weâ re even more excited to be able to open our windows without them being painted shut!"

"Equity Builders provided excellent service and quality work. I came home from being out of town to water damage in both my master bathroom and bedroom from a toilet that leaked. I highly recommend Michael and his crew!"

"We had a lovely experience with Sure Step on our shower remodel. I needed a bigger tub put in and was worried about my timeline as I had a new family member on the way, and the customer service team was extremely helpful in getting my job rushed."

"Mike from M.K. Refinishing was wonderful, friendly and easy to work with. We were in the process of renovating most of our home ourselves to save money when M.K. Refinishing was referred to us for our kitchen counters. Mike responded quickly when we called for an estimate on our kitchen and bath. The start date agreed upon and the entire project was complete within two weeks. He refinished our kitchen counters, our entire bathroom including the tile floor. We showed him our kitchen backsplash, which we planned to install ourselves, and he gave us recommendations for products. At the last minute, we asked him if he could install the backsplash, which he did. The cost was minimal, the work and clean up was phenomenal. We are very happy with the completed work and we will definitely use him again for any future projects."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

Of the two most common and affordable bathtub materials, acrylic is notably better. Though fiberglass is cheaper, it is also more prone to scratching, chipping, fading, and cracking. Acrylic holds up better to wear and tear, cleaning, and sun exposure; the slight cost increase is usually worth the increased longevity.

A chipped bathtub could leak over time if you don’t take care of the issue. A tiny chip isn’t a big deal but may eventually grow into a larger crack. As the months go by, the tub’s barrier against moisture becomes weakened, making it prone to leaking. Large chips can also cause the tub to rust and even crack in half.

Don’t let the following items sit in your sink, or you’ll end up with a stain:

  • Tea bags

  • Wet cloths

  • Sponges

  • Hair dye

Persistent leaks, outdated styles, or surface damage are indicators for a replacement.

The process involves cleaning the surface, applying bonding agents or new veneers, and finishing with a protective top coat or polish.
