"This was the worst business transaction I have ever had. It starts with arrogant high pressure salesman who will tell you what he thinks you want to hear, but in reality he is not telling you the truth. When the work is NOT done by the time the salesman tells you it will be, the people in Spokane will not give a crap. They will not call you back and if you keep calling them, they will twist all the words around and somehow make it your fault. The paperwork is never-ending and either lost or reaches a point of cancelation so you will have to sign them again. I have signed the same paper 4 times now and told them never to come back to my house again. I am so disappointed in this company and hope to save someone else months of misery and frustration. I have been on the phone with everyone there from the schedulers to the general manager and got no satisfaction from them. It is a horrible company and I am so sorry I even contacted by them. Wish I had known what they were like before I proceeded. Beware!!!"

Yes, you can absolutely remove rust from a bathtub drain, and doing so can improve the appearance of your tub. Combine three parts baking soda with one part vinegar and mix into a paste. Two alternatives to reglazing are installing a bathtub inlay or a bathtub liner. An inlay is a low-priced mat that adheres to the bottom of a bathtub or shower. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. They are usually custom-fit and cost more than reglazing yet don’t last as long.

It’s substantially less expensive to reglaze a tub than to replace it. The average cost of reglazing a bathtub is between $400 and $700, but that range may be higher based on where you live and the type of tub you have. Meanwhile, if you want to replace the bathtub, you’re looking at $2,000 to $9,400, with the average close to $5,700.

While tubs are fairly sturdy, you may notice cracks or holes. This kind of damage can happen from someone accidentally dropping something heavy into the tub. You might also see damage if you drop something heavy into the tub over and over again (like your extra large bottle of body wash). While you might only notice a small dent at first, this can later turn into a crack or a hole.

Also, certain cleaners that are harmful to your tub can cause damage. And if you have a fiberglass tub, you might see cracks if it was not installed properly with the right support.

The cost of installing a new bathtub is considerably more expensive than refinishing an existing one, so if you’re looking to upgrade your tub on a budget, you might be better off refinishing it for now. Additionally, if your tub has only minor damage, refinishing it will make it look new again without the extra demolition and time.
