For those who had need, he built barriers to protect my neighbors' property. He kept his equipment and work areas organized and clean, maintained communication with me, treated my property with utmost respect, and he performed as his contract described. With the amount of work and care Craig was observed using, his rates/fees were more than fair! I will be using him again!"

There are many pros and cons to vinyl and composite fencing. Both fencing types offer longer lifespans than wood fencing, with some notable advantages. Whether one is better for you will depend on a few factors. Composite is better if you prefer recycled materials, while vinyl is extremely easy to clean.

Plastic fencing works as a temporary fence idea for those on a tight budget but doesn’t offer as much protection. Pipe fencing can be a short-term option as well. Despite its high cost, you can install and remove it easily if you need to relocate your pasture area.

A well-maintained pipe fence can last anywhere from 20 to 50 years, depending on factors like material, climate, and maintenance. Galvanized or coated pipes resist rust and corrosion better than other alternatives, so they tend to last longer, especially in humid or wet environments. Routine maintenance, such as inspecting for damage, removing rust, and applying protective coatings, helps extend the fence’s lifespan significantly.

Vinyl and chicken wire are both highly affordable materials for a DIY garden fence. Vinyl fences can cost as little as $15 per linear foot (perhaps less if you're installing it yourself). Chicken wire fences can cost as little as $2 per linear foot. Chicken wire is obviously more affordable, but if privacy is important to you, vinyl is the best option.
