ODW promised me the shortest time frame for install (3-12 weeks) so I went with them over other companies. They took 7 entire months to finish installing the windows, more than twice what they promised. When I asked for a discount because of them not keeping their promise they told me it was because their factory took awhile on making a single window so its not their responsibility and dont feel they need to reimburse anything for taking over half a year for an install. Also during install I had to pay extra for "lead containment" due to my older windows but when they removed them they just left the old lead laying on the floor and left shattered glass all over the attic flooring (some shards as long as 3") and covering a large area all over my back patio. The manager did not feel concerned about the dangerous mess they left nor that they broke their promise on their time frame and held up the rest of the renovation and contractors from finishing my addition for months. Completely untrustworthy business and unprofessional.

"ODW welcomes reviews and thanks [Member Name Removed] for his feedback to help us continually improve and provide the best customer service possible. We apologize for the installer’s carelessness in leaving a mess for the customer to clean up. This is not acceptable. The matter will be brought to the attention of the installer and Installation Manager. The customer’s contract states: Installation will be approximately 6-12 weeks from time of order. However, during the pandemic, the factories that supply our products are currently running 4 weeks to 5 months behind - especially on products that require tempered glass. All the windows on this customer’s order included tempered glass. A letter from the Co-Presidents was mailed two days after the customer placed his order to explain that ODW cannot “promise” the usual 6-12 week estimated time during these uncertain times. Our Sales Manager called [Member Name Removed] at 10 weeks & 14 weeks out to reassure him we hadn’t forgotten about his order and explain why his products were factory back ordered. Total wait time for this customer was regrettably 17 weeks (not 7 months). ODW didn’t give the customer a credit for waiting 5 weeks longer than estimated because the extended wait time was out of our company’s control. ODW takes the EPA Renovate Right Law very seriously. Installers conduct lead renovation on all homes built before 1978 whenever they test and find lead paint present. We require our lead renovators to be EPA trained, certified, and re-trained every three years. We also require our installers to take pictures of each lead renovation. The pictures taken by the renovator of the customer’s three window openings show heavy plastic was placed on both the floor inside and ground outside to catch paint chips. We will question the installer about his lead renovation practices and welcome any further information or observations this customer would like to provide to Colleen, our Senior Millwork Manager, as part of this investigation."

Thought spring had broken but technician found it was the cable that was broken so spring had come off. Replaced both cables as other one was very old, and also put on new bottom fixtures/rollers. Very prompt (was actually able to come earlier than scheduled as another job didn't take as long as expected). Called to check before coming to the house.

It was a very big job. This is a double car garage and just getting the old doors out (they weighed a ton!) was quite an undertaking. The installation took approximately 10 hours and the installer, Jerry, was terrific. The doors work great and definitely have the look I want. Carl, the salesman, listened to what I wanted and then helped me find it.

Everything went great and the windows are awesome!
We looked at a lot of different windows and providers and have to say nothing compared to the Soft-Lite windows and patio door for quality and price. We looked at Pella which is a good product but in no way were any better with quality just a lot more expensive!
Omaha Door and Windows did a great job making sure we were happy and got what we wanted and did a wonderful job with the install.
I would recommend Omaha Door and Window and Soft-Lite windows anytime! :)

I called and they were able to set up an appointment in a very timely fashion. Service man who arrived was punctual, knowledgeable and did a great job. This was not my first time using this company. I feel confident that they do the job right and at a reasonable price. I will definitely call them again when the occasion comes along.

They were quick, they kept their appointments, and the cost. I had other people come in to give me an estimate, and they more in the $600 to $700 ranges. They were very polite. The garage door is working out awesome now that I figured out. When they were done, I wasn't home, so I took a trip back to the office and they explained it to me, and I haven't had a problem since.

We worked with Chris Myrhre to select the best door to suit our needs and budget. He is easy to get a hold of and came out just a few days after my initial call. We ordered the door with a down payment of about 30%. He promised it would be ready in about 8 weeks. I received a call when the door was in to set up installation. The timeline was exactly as promised. NIck and Joe arrived right on time on installation day and were very knowledgeable and professional. The door was a little tight because of very close measurements and the guys made the necessary adjustments with ease. They worked very hard and were extremely careful not to damage my wallpaper and painted trim. They completed the install in a little over 4 hours. They cleaned up all the mess and hauled the old door away. Before they left, Nick took time to explain all the special features on my door and how they worked. We had Omaha Door and Window install a new patio door last year and they followed up with a call to offer a special discount so I did not even call any other companies this time around. We will do business with them every time because of the quality, workmanship and all around great customer service.

"Sadly this occurred because of a miscommunication issue. We either had the wrong phone number or the customer’s phone number got disconnected. We tried to call for a couple weeks, but nobody answered the phone and there was no voicemail available. We tried to mail the customer, but never heard a response back. We apologize for the miscommunication error and hope this explains why the issue occurred."
