We initially contacted just the top two Foundation Repair Experts listed on Angie's List because we can't afford to have our home repaired by anyone who lacks the proper credentials, staff, tools, training, techniques, supplies, 25 year transferrable warranty, and the hands on experience to deliver all services as promised. We are extremely pleased with the final results to take back our homes basement from poor workmanship done by the original builder and owner of our home back in 1979 We purchased the home in 2001 and unknown to us the foundation had been placed on top of clay based sub-soil which was an acceptable building practice back in 1979. Today's building codes prohibit this careless and costly practice of home site preparation for the homeowner. As that ice thaws, water caught between the faucet, and the blockage causes increased pressure within the pipe, leading to bursting pipes and other serious types of system damage. In other words, handle frozen pipes as quickly as possible. 

There are several indicators that your washing machine’s drain pump is bad, including incomplete cycles, water not draining, lack of spinning, a foul odor when the machine is running, and a loud grinding or buzzing noise when the pump is trying to move water down the drain.

Plumbers replace shower pans, shower liners, drains, and drain traps. But if you want to tile over your pan, you’ll need to call in a tiler after the plumber installers the pan. Alternatively, you may be able to hire a shower installer to complete the entire job from start to finish.

Most gas stoves either have a shutoff valve inside the oven drawer compartment or behind the stove wall. Cooktop shutoff valves are usually inside the base cabinet, and wall ovens usually have a shutoff valve in the cabinet below or next to the unit. Construction regulations require installing a shutoff valve within six feet of the appliance. So, if you can’t find the valve on the appliance, look around the connecting gas pipes within the six-foot radius.

To clean gunk out of a sink drain, pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar. The two will react chemically; let them fizz for 15 minutes, then rinse with boiling water. Repeat these steps if necessary for particularly dirty sink drains, and consider a drain snake if there are clogs.
