"We recently hired Joe & 2T Construction to completely remodel our kitchen, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. They began by handling the full demolition of our old kitchen with care and efficiency, making sure to minimize disruption to the rest of our home. Throughout the remodel, their communication was excellent—they kept us informed at every stage and were always available to answer our questions. He help design the new kitchen layout and had really great plans detailing the new kitchen layout. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. Everything from the cabinetry and countertops to the flooring and lighting was installed with precision and care. The final result is not only beautiful but also highly functional. The team was punctual, respectful of our space, and cleaned up thoroughly each day. We appreciated their transparency with the budget and timeline, both of which were met as promised. We highly recommend 2T Construction to anyone considering a kitchen remodel. They exceeded our expectations in every way."

Each job is as unique as those I am working not only for but just as importantly those I am working WITH. By this I mean none other than every client(s) is to each their own who some already have a very distinct, detailed, and predetermined vision as far as what they want. Some don't have the slightest idea and are looking for my input, suggestions, expenses and help coming up with a budget that is with in ones reach and that does not overwhelm or discourage a person from making their once dream space a reality. Every person I work with is encouraged to share any ideas, whether you've been revisiting an old idea or wanting to try something new. I will ALWAYS take time to not only sit down & listen to you but discuss, calculate, provide a copy of and discuss any ADDED expenses as well as any incurred CREDITS due as a result of any changes made to an already existing customer agreement. All proposed changes / costs will be discussed to its fullest and must be signed off as accepted by the client requesting proposed changes. I have an open mind policy meaning 1. I always love a good challenge ( The more outside the box thinking... The better! ) 2. My mind is ALWAYS open to ones suggestions , questions, concerns , OR sometimes some of us just need a few minutes of device free, human to human interaction where something as simple as an old fashion conversation is warranted. In all regards , I as your employee , My goal is to give you the tools, provide you with all aspects of your project whether big , small or somewhere in between. Including physical, informative, assistance with finding the best deals, Offering my assistance in the search for items not available in stores or if one is not interested I am happy to fully take on the challenge myself or act as your "buyer" if you will. ( ex: antiques of specific style, genre , maybe something of nostalgia etc... We're all unique in our own sense. Express the YOU in your home. ALSO OFFERING MISC CUSTOM HOME DECOR

Remodel Design questions, answered by experts

This is definitely a matter of personal taste, but certain spaces might be better suited to recessed lighting than others. Areas where you need good task lighting, such as the laundry room, kitchen, or home office could be good candidates for recessed LED lighting. You also might choose to use it for a sleek, subtle lighting option in a living room where you want to highlight other aspects of the space.

Many homeowners view sunken living rooms as an outdated architectural feature, as they were prevalent in 1960s and 1970s styles of homes, but have since fallen out of favor. Some homeowners still enjoy the coziness of a sunken living room, but most find it to be an obsolete feature. It’s possible to fill in a sunken living room, but the cost typically tops $10,000.

Adding a mudroom is one of the most budget-friendly home additions compared to other projects, costing between $8,000 and $16,000 on average. Not only is the room often quite small, but it also requires minimal fixtures or wiring to make the room practical. The most costly features include a weatherproof floor and an exterior door.

Just like the rest of your roof, a dormer will last as long as the life span of the materials used in construction. Slate, clay, and concrete roofing can last for over a century, whereas more standard roofing materials, such as asphalt shingles, last closer to 30 years. The structure of the dormer itself, however, should last the roof's lifetime when properly maintained. Only the window, insulation, and eaves may require repairs over time.

Selecting the right general contractor to tackle a job like raising a sunken living room can feel like an overwhelming prospect. Follow these tips to find, vet, and hire the best local contractor for your project:

  • Get recommendations from neighbors and friends who might be able to suggest contractors they’ve used.

  • Request written quotes to help set your budget and expectations.

  • Verify your contractor’s credentials to ensure a professional and legal finished product.

  • Read the contractor’s proposed contract to make sure you agree to all terms, including the project timeline, cost, and materials.

  • Keep copies of all relevant documentation.
