"I had a terrible situation. I had 2 Ames electrical companies turn down the Job as too big. Custom Electrical accepted the job, and Katy, the office person, began to coordinate arrangements with the City of Ames, as well as a boring company, taking me out of the middle of it all. Thank you Katy!!! Rogan, the electrician, spent a great deal of time with me is assessing the situation, was conscientious in all his dealings, and very courteous. Custom Electric made a very stressful situation much easier for me. They will get all my electrical work in the future."

"When I was looking for an electrician power up, turned out to be the easiest and quickest way to find an electrician that I needed. They worked with me with a schedule that allowed me to continue daily activities and events I was still able to get what I needed done in a week’s time. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I have a new outlet in my master bath and I have new smoke detectors along with carbon monoxide. I would certainly refer anyone to power up."

"Updated bathroom electrical during remodeling. They came the day after I called them for an estimate for 1 hour of work and completed it immediately. Also gave me an estimate for a household generator. I would hire them again."

"Jesse was recommended to us by a neighbor. We have hired him for a few projects. Most recently he re-wired our air conditioner so we could install a better unit. Heâ s friendly, professional, and shows up on time. Jesse is patient while answering all of our questions to make sure we understand our options. We will be using him again!"

"I would recommend Nate Oakley for electrical and other repairs needed around the home. He installed 3 new outdoor light fixtures. Cleaned up the Wasp nest that had caused the front lights from working. The rates he charged were very reasonable. I asked him about the cabinet under the sink, the bottom of the cabinet had warped. He replaced it a few days later. When his schedule cleared. He also replaced the overhead light in my utility room. I also hired him to put up a backsplash in my kitchen. It is almost completed and he did a wonderful job. On the first day of the job he even carried down my garbage for me. He also took down and replaced my over the stove microwave, I will be calling him again as projects come up."

"Lane came out and provided estimate for my project! He was truly great! Answered all my questions I had! Was very caring and worked with my hectic schedule! "Trent from Hoekstra Electric did a great job at installing some new outlets for me in my office in my basement. I had called to inquire about if it would be possible to get outlets in my office and a rough idea on what it would cost. When Trent showed up, he offered to get them installed for me right then and there - totally awesome!! It is been amazing having more spaces to hook my different machines into. Not only was Hoekstra Electric able to get to my issue fast, they were also super kind and very professional. I would definitely recommend them!"
