So we recently secured the foundation of our home with Groundworks. First, let me point out that stabilizing the foundation of your home can be a daunting undertaking. It is also one of the most responsible ways to perserve the equity in your property. Groundworks has a reputation for excellence in preparation, execution, and problem-solving in foundation work. But we had never had to address this level of home renovation and the extensive landscaping in our yard complicated the scope of our project. While we were concerned about our project's complexity, we were extremely relieved at the high level of knowledge, competence, communication, customer service, and professionalism awarded to us by the Groundworks foundation team. Our foreman Clem, and his team (Luis, Noah, Ran, and Rokk) literally went above and way beyond our expectations to explain next steps, listen to us, problem-solve, and execute a solution to every concern we raised. Clem was a constant and reassuring presence on-site, informing us continually throughout the process to ensure our level of confidence and understanding. As he put it, "I am here to take care of you." He meant that, and he certainly did. We can enthusiastically state that working with, and completing our foundation project with Groundworks was a GREAT experience!"

They replaced the pipe and put on a new spout and drain stopper for a better price than previous plumber wanted for snaking the drain. In my home less than 2 hours. All of impressed me."

"The only reason this company gets an overall grade of C and not an F is because they are prompt and professional with emails, phone calls and showing up on time. We contacted this company (1 of 3 companies) to help us assess why we were having water issues in our basement, mostly in one concentrated area where our furnace, water heater and water softener are located. Long story short, the sales person assessed that we needed a very expensive sump pump. He also tried to sell us every other thing imaginable related to repairing basement water issues. By the time his bid was done, it was sitting at $17,000! He asked us to watch it through it's cycle which takes about an hour. He left and sure enough, after about 45 minutes, I heard it at it's loudest point and went down to find water all over the floor in that area. So what will thankfully only cost us a minimal amount could have cost us thousands of dollars had we went with Thrasher."

During the discovery/bid process Cody was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with explaining the issue and the options we had to remedy my problem. Their bid came in at a fair value and below what I was as expecting so we signed the contract to move forward with the work. Olshan installed 8 cable lock st piers to lift and stabilize our foundation. Alejandro was in charge of the actual work on our home and he is an absolute rock star. He was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure that the job was performed correctly. His crew was respectful of our home and got in and out as quickly and cleanly as they could. Alejandro answered all texts and phone calls in a reasonable amount of time and always kept me in the loop. Overall, foundation work is tough but Olshan made it look easy. Cody and Alejandro were exceptional throughout the process and I trust if I ever need anything in the future they will be there for me."

"Where do I start?!? If I could give Jason 10 stars, I would. He was at my house an hour after I called in a panic when several drains were clogged and unusable. He was professional, friendly, and got right to work. His experience and problem-solving skills were clear right from the start. When my old pipes for one drain didn’t allow him to snake down far enough to clear the clog, he simply moved to another drain to do what needed to be done. Shortly after that, the clog(s) was cleared. When I despaired out loud while he was in the first drain that it didn’t sound promising, he simply replied, “Don’t worry, I’ll get it cleared!” I would absolutely recommend Jason to anyone and everyone who needs an experienced, honest, friendly and hard-working plumber, and will be sending my family and friends his contact information. "The sales guy was very impressive. He explained everything about the process and did a detailed inspection of the areas to be worked on.
He was honest in saying that sometimes the concrete seams don't match up perfectly, but that the installers would use a grinder to feather out any spots where this would happen. I asked about cracking and he said that it rarely occurred.
The installer came on the appointed day and was still there when I returned from work. He had completed much of the job, but indicated that he had trouble with some of the equipment and that some of the poly-leveling material had sprayed around some of the work areas. He said he would come back and finish the next day (which was a Saturday).
He returned Saturday and finished. I inspected the work and was generally happy with the concrete leveling; my front step was now very close to it's original height and my patio was shedding water away from the house. But I did find a couple of things that distressed me and told the installer about them:
1. There were two very noticeable cracks and a third very thin one. Would he be filling these cracks to prevent future water damage?
2. There were many places in the driveway where the slabs were still uneven. Was he planning on grinding those down as promised?
After he left, I also noticed that the patching material used to fill the holes seemed to be chipping away already and in several holes, did not even come up to the level of the slab.
He later called back and said that he would come back and use a high quality sealer to fill the cracks. He didn't mention the uneven concrete.
I later was contacted by the office about payment. I explained that there were outstanding issues. I was assured that arrangement had been made to fix them.
Then I made the ultimate error: I paid them.
When the sales guy made a follow up call, I told him there were still outstanding issues, and that I had been promised that they would be addressed.
No cracks have been filled, the holes collect water every time it rains and I am mortified at the prospect of trying to clear snow from my uneven driveway this winter.
Could I have made more noise with them about this? Sure. Should I have to after making three people aware of the problems? Certainly not."
