"I highly recommend James. I had a very dangerous situation with a tree over my home. James contacted me about 8:30 last night and by 8 am this morning, he was here accessing the situation. By the end of the day, he has my tree down. He stayed in contact with me the entire time and made sure my concerns were addressed. I had several quotes done, and he was the best priced by far. I have several more trees that I plan on having cut and James will be who I use. Thank you James for such an awesomejob at a great price."

"They did a great job with the removal of several trees and trimming limbs in my yard. The job was described to me in detail and I was given several options on how to get the job done. Upon completion, they left the area very clean. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone needing similar services."

Small jobs welcome

"Did a great job, knocked out 4 stumps in about an hour for 60% of the price another company tried to charge me for just 3. Did an extra small stump for me just because he had time, at no extra charge! This guy will do right by you. I'll be telling everyone I know that he the go to guy for stump grinding in this area."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The best plan of action for an unhealthy or unsafe tree will depend on its condition. An arborist can recommend whether trimming or removal is the right call for your tree. Preventive tree trimming can keep trees safe and healthy, so make regular tree trimming a part of your yard maintenance plan.

A dead tree should always be cut down, because it could fall and cause injuries or damage, and it can also attract insects like carpenter ants. A tree that’s diseased beyond repair should also be cut down, but it’s not always easy for a homeowner to tell. Signs of disease include dying branches, a hollow trunk, leaning, and discolored or missing leaves, but your best bet is to hire a local arborist who can evaluate the tree and tell you if it can be saved or should be cut down.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large.

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.

If this sounds like a good option, learn more about how to burn a tree stump before attempting it, as it does come with risks.

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

Yes, you should trim the lower branches of your maple tree for safety. Trimming maple trees as they grow helps lift the crown and canopy and trains it to grow straight up. A good rule of thumb is to prune enough branches to leave 6 feet of clearance under the tree.
