"I decided on Hendrix Air after getting additional estimates. Chris not only looked into the roof area to check out existing ducts, but actually crawled in. He was the only one to do that. He spent an hour and a half checking out the entire project. No one else did that. He gave me an on the spot competitive estimate. Two days after my agreeing to have the work done his crew started the complete renovation and installation of a Trane heat pump. Despite temperatures in the mid nineties the job was competed in two days. It’s only been a couple of days and so far the new system is working as expected. I took advantage of a 3 year no interest financing offer as well."

Heating Oil questions, answered by experts

Yes, technicians check refrigerant levels, loop performance, and system calibration for peak efficiency.

NATE-certified technicians may charge slightly higher service fees compared to non-certified technicians. This is because NATE certification signifies a higher level of expertise and professionalism, often leading to more efficient and effective HVAC repairs and installations. While the upfront cost may be marginally higher, NATE-certified technicians can potentially save you money in the long run by reducing energy consumption, preventing frequent breakdowns, and extending the life span of your HVAC system. When looking for a local HVAC company to hire, it never hurts to ask about NATE certifications.

While it's generally safe to stay in a home with a coolant leak if your home is properly ventilated, it's important to have a professional come out to assess the situation right away. You should evacuate your home if you notice any powerful fumes. Additionally, you should leave your home if you are experiencing headaches or dizziness.

Leaks, poor airflow, reduced efficiency, and loop blockages are common problems requiring service.

If a geothermal heat pump is installed correctly, then you shouldn’t have to worry about having a backup heat source such as a furnace or oil boiler. However, there are geothermal systems installed that include a backup in case the heat pump fails due to extreme cold. This is simply a backup heat pump you’ll likely never need and not an alternative heat source.
