"Jonathan came out the next day to give me a quote. He returned to fix the damage a few days later. He came with one other person and they took half a day to fix the drywall and paint the wall and ceiling. They were quick, efficient and did a great job."

"Bobby  and his asst were great!!!  I was given a 9 to 11 window for arrival.  He showed up on time.  He took one look at water heater closet and said the 50 gal tall water heater would not fit and that he could return it and pick up the 40 gal tall.  I was told by another plumbing company to order 50 gal and they would install based on county regs vs whether it would fit in the closet.  What made me the most happy was, as I was returning and paying for new water heater, the clerk noticed my veterans card and promptly gave me a 10% discount :).  I'm extremely happy with New Era Plumbing.

"Donna and Jeff (owners) were hands on supervisors. They both patiently answered lots of questions and provided recommendations and resources out of their scope of business.  I felt confident that Jeff and Donna knew their business well and that my best interests were being well served.  I feel confident that they will respond quickly to any questions that I may have in the future regarding this project.  I would recommend them without any reservation.  I felt like I was fairly treated and charged a fair price for their services and the system installed.  Stated scheduled was maintained with proposed start and completion dates.

"What an Amazing Company!! I had a Major Plumbing Issue after my son knocked the top off the toilet and busted the pipe that connects the water in to the wall. I got on Angie List and found Free Emergency Plumber.Com and within a half hour they were at my house. Not only did they fix the leak and the pipe for FREE, but the technician was also able to assist me in getting my house dried out (slightly flooded three or four rooms)! The guys at Free Emergency Plumber.Com even helped when dealing with my insurance company. Start to finish they handled just about everything for me, all I had to do was sit back and let them work. Amazing company, Amazing people, I highly recommend Free Emergency Plumber.Com."

"Great experience with A Carpenter's Sons! Reasonable pricing and really good work! They arrived on time and cleaned up afterward. They were patient and thorough in answering all of my questions. I really appreciated their honesty. Prior to starting the job they warned me there may be additional work but won't know until the steps were removed. When that was finished they told me everything underneath looked good and no additional work was necessary. I am already planning my next job with them!"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Leaks, clogged drains, cracked basins, and worn-out seals are common problems that may require professional repair.

Yes, if you live in a climate with extended periods of frost or snow, it’s best to winterize the sink and avoid potential bursting. Similar to winterizing a garden hose, turn off your water from the source. Once turned off, open the faucet so the remaining water completely drains out. You can also pour a small amount of antifreeze down the sink drain so any trapped water won’t freeze.

There’s no definitive answer regarding whether equipping your kitchen island with a stove or sink is better. The right option depends on each homeowner's lifestyle, cooking style, and kitchen layout. If you cook with guests over, having a stove that faces outward can facilitate socialization while you prepare dinner. On the other hand, if you use a lot of produce, having your sink by your prep area makes it easier to clean veggies while cooking. A sink also makes cleanup easier by allowing you to wipe down your prep area and place your dirty dishes in the sink.

DIY is not recommended for commercial settings due to safety and code compliance. Hire licensed professionals.

Silicone caulk—despite having some adhesive properties—is not the primary thing that holds your sink in place. Rather, it seals the gaps around the sink to prevent water from leaking and causing issues with mold and corrosion. Most sinks are secured by clips, though some sinks are secured with two-part epoxy or brackets.
