Customers say: Super punctual

"I am a resident of Blairsville, GA and had Alberto stain my cabin recently. He did an excellent job and was timely, in touch and pleasant to work with. He was conscientious, reasonably priced and, most importantly, worked to please the customer. I recommend him without hesitation and I will use him again."

"They did a pretty good job. A bit of a language barrier. As with all work these days, it was very expensive. About 2.5 times more than my Florida home and one third the size. They did not waste time and got the job done, which was greatly appreciated. I would use them again, no question. They also did some needed wood repairs, window trim and chimney, which really makes a big difference in choosing them."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

The disadvantages of sandblasting are noise, mess, and risk. Sandblasters are louder than chainsaws and spread debris on the ground and through the air. Let your neighbors know that you're sandblasting so they can prepare. Sandblasting can damage your property if not done properly, so thoroughly vet any pros you talk to before hiring.

Regular sealing and repainting help maintain the restored surface’s durability.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.
