We do a number of different things including gutter cleaning, lawn and yard work, leaf removal, mulch and topsoil, and pressure washing. We strive in being friendly, fair priced, and punctual. A quote will be sent with what you would like us to do for you, if you accept we will set up a time and day that works best for you. We offer our services anytime after 5 on week days or anytime on weekends. We run by appointment only. We will send out a reminder of when the appointment time, date, and services being rendered. A quote will be sent within 24 hours. We accept venmo or cash. "I do not recommend. The owner is friendly, but the service is unreliable. They have not collected trash for 3 weeks now (the week before Christmas, the week after and the first week of the new year). I have tried calling for the last 2 weeks to only be sent to voicemail, but I cannot leave a message because the mailbox is full, I truly hope that Steve is okay. I am going to take my trash to the landfill this weekend and I have scheduled another trash collection service (the City of Dawsonville) to begin next week."

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement. 

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix. 

While the part of the garbage disposal that attaches to the sink is universal, not every single disposal will work in every sink cabinet. A larger disposal may be too big to fit in a compact space, for example. If the pipes under your sink are arranged in an unusual way, it may be difficult to put in a bigger disposal, even if there technically is enough space.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
